Abstract:
A method and device for administering pulmonary physical therapy to a patient. The device comprises a control console comprising a sound generator for generating sounds, and a patient contact board. The control console has knobs for adjusting the frequency, wavelength, duration and volume of the sounds from the sound generator, and a power cord for connecting the control console to a power source. The patient contact board is connected to the control console. The contact board has a plurality of speakers mounted on the front face of the board and connected to said sound generator for transmitting the sounds generated by said sound generator. There is a soundproof lining along the back face of the board. The method involves holding the board to the patient's chest or having the patient lean against the board and administering low frequency sound waves to the patient's chest via the control console to loosen chest secretions.

Abstract:
A surgical hand drill for inserting orthopedic screws and for drilling holes in the fixing of fractures and bone grafts employing a pair of bushings at opposite ends of a double-helix spiral drive shaft to maintain concentricity of rotation when transferring a squeeze hand motion to a pistol grip handle to a rotating drive motion for the screw and for the twist drill, with a compression-type return spring to return the drive shaft to its quiescent position, while providing a tactile feel to the surgeon as to the success in setting the screw into the bone, or drilling a hole, and which includes a quick disconnect adapter for accepting orthopedic screw driver tips of square, hexagonal and/or cross-fit end shank or other configurations, or twist drills.
A prosthetic eye for use in replacing the natural eye of a user in an eye cavity having eye muscles. The prosthetic eye has a spherical body in the shape and form of the natural eye. The spherical body is provided with several receiving regions extending radially from the anterior section of the eye. Further, the prosthetic eye has tabs for attaching to the eye muscles. The tabs with the attached eye muscles are inserted into the receiving regions to couple the muscles to the prosthetic eye. The tabs may be adjusted by removing and reinserting the tabs from the receiving regions and repositioning them in the appropriate location in the region so that the prosthetic eye may rest in its natural position in the cavity with respect to the remaining natural eye.
