Abstract:

A telephone directory having a plurality of pages is disclosed. The pages can be moveable between a first position and a second position such that a desired page can be selected by moving pages from the first position to the second position until the desired page is at the top of a stack of pages in the first position. Each page can comprise locations for a plurality of photographs. Selectors can be provided for selecting one of the photograph locations on the selected page. Telephone numbers of persons or places depicted in photographs on the pages can be stored in a digital memory. A telephone call can be initiated to a particular person or place by selecting the page and photograph location on the page of that person or place.

Abstract:

A lignin plastics solids mass containing lignin solids and liquids with up to 85% liquids can be partially dewatered by heating the lignin plastics solids mass to above a critical temperature at which time the lignin plastics solids agglomerate into lower moisture granular solids with between about 45% to 55% liquids releasing excess liquid which can be easily removed from the solids. The process is particularly useful for lignin plastics solids removed from black liquor from paper mills, or for similar lignin plastics solids masses, which can contain up to 85% liquids and which need to be dried to form useful lignin solids, which can be used for example for fuel. The dewatering process can be combined with the process for separating the lignin from the black liquor to separate the dewatered lignin directly from the black liquor.

Abstract:

A drive means for a sampler such as is used to collect ore, slurries or other material discharged from a conveyor or other material transport device. The sampler includes a frame on which a support carriage having a cutter to sample the material as the cutter moves back and forth across the end of the conveyor is mounted. The drive means for moving the sampler carriage includes two closely, spaced, parallel rollers journaled for rotation in the cutter and arranged to move with respect to the frame. A belt attached to one end of the frame passes a first roller, around the outside of a more distant second roller, then back between the rollers, around the first roller and past the second roller to be secured to the frame. The belt preferably is connected to the frame by a belt adjustment mechanism. Reversible power means are arranged to drive one roller and to thereby reciprocally move the support carriage with respect to the belt and frame.
