Abstract:

A method to selectively deposit a barrier layer on a metal film formed on a substrate is disclosed. The barrier layer is selectively deposited on the metal film using a cyclical deposition process including a predetermined number of deposition cycles followed by a purge step. Each deposition cycle comprises alternately adsorbing a refractory metal-containing precursor and a reducing gas on the metal film formed on the substrate in a process chamber.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus and method of cyclical deposition utilizing three or more precursors in which delivery of at least two of the precursors to a substrate structure at least partially overlap. One embodiment of depositing a ternary material layer over a substrate structure comprises providing at least one cycle of gases to deposit a ternary material layer. One cycle comprises introducing a pulse of a first precursor, introducing a pulse of a second precursor, and introducing a pulse of a third precursor in which the pulse of the second precursor and the pulse of the third precursor at least partially overlap. In one aspect, the ternary material layer includes, but is not limited to, tungsten boron silicon (WBSi), titanium silicon nitride (TiSiN), tantalum silicon nitride (TaSiN), silicon oxynitride (SiON), and hafnium silicon oxide (HfSiO). In one aspect, the composition of the ternary material layer may be tuned by changing the flow ratio of the second precursor to the third precursor between cycles.

A system is provided for appending a personal greeting onto a personal advertisement for presentation on a hosted website over the Internet. The system includes a client, a communication link, and a server. The client has an input device and a browser. The server has memory for storing a database of personal advertisements and at least one of a voice and a video greeting system. The greeting system cooperates with the database and the communication link to enable a user of the client to access a personal advertisement from the database, input a personal greeting to the server from client, and associate the personal greeting with the personal advertisement. Abstract:

The invention provides methods for isolating a modified peptide from a complex mixture of peptides, the method comprising the steps of: (a) obtaining a proteinaceous preparation from an organism, wherein the preparation comprises modified peptides from two or more different proteins; (b) contacting the preparation with at least one immobilized modification-specific antibody; and (c) isolating at least one modified peptide specifically bound by the immobilized modification-specific antibody in step (b). The method may further comprise the step of (d) characterizing the modified peptide isolated in step (c) by mass spectrometry (MS), tandem mass spectrometry (MS—MS), and/or MSanalysis, or the step of (e) utilizing a search program to substantially match the spectra obtained for the modified peptide during the characterization of step (d) with the spectra for a known peptide sequence, thereby identifying the parent protein(s) of the modified peptide. Also provided are an immunoaffinity isolation device comprising a modification-specific antibody, and antibodies against novel UFD1 and PTN6 phosphorylation sites.

Abstract:

A method is provided for producing motif-specific, context-independent antibodies which recognize a plurality of peptides or proteins within a genome that contain the same motif. The method includes the step of immunizing a host with a degenerate peptide library antigen featuring (i) a fixed target motif containing one or more invariant amino acids including at least one modified amino acid, and (ii) a plurality of degenerate amino adds flanking the motif. Motif-specific, context-independent antibodies produced by the disclosed method are also provided. The method encompasses motifs consisting of a single modified amino acid, as well as short motifs comprising multiple invariant amino acids including one or more modified amino acids, such as all or part of kinase consensus substrate motifs, protein-protein binding motifs, or other cell signaling motifs. Methods of using the antibodies, e. g. for genome-wide profiling, are also provided.

A buffer bypass circuit for reducing latency in information transfers to a bus is described. Access to the bus is governed by a bus arbiter employing a bus parking scheme.
