Abstract:

Methods and devices for removing gas prior to detecting analyte ions are discolored. In one aspect of the invention, gas by-products from the suppression of the mobile phase are removed prior to detecting analyte ions at a detector. In another aspect, the amount of dissolved carbonic acid is reduced in a suppressed carbonate/bicarbonate mobile phase by removing carbon dioxide gas.

Abstract:

There is described a portable electronic device capable of detecting wake conditions comprising a motion sensor, a touch sensor and a processor. The motion sensor is configured to detect tap data associated with user input within a predetermined time period. The touch sensor is configured to detect touch data associated with the user input within the predetermined time period. The touch sensor is activated in response to detecting the tap data at the motion sensor. The processor is configured to determine whether the touch data corresponds to at least one touch criterion, and activate a function of the portable electronic device in response to determining that the touch data corresponds to the at least one touch criterion.

Abstract:

Methods for evaluating a diesel fuel are provided. In one embodiment, a method of evaluating a diesel fuel includes obtaining a testing sample from the diesel fuel and analyzing the testing sample to detect an amount of at least one selected component. The method also provides for determining if the diesel fuel is green depending on either detection of at least one selected component in the testing sample or observation of at least one non-normal molecular class distribution in the testing sample. Further, the specific component can indicate the specific biological feedstock used to produce the green diesel based on the molecular fingerprinting database.

Abstract:

One aspect of the present invention is a method of producing a decellularized composite tissue bioscaffold for musculoskeletal tissue interface reconstruction by physicochemically treating a musculoskeletal tissue interface isolated from allogeneic sources. In certain embodiments, such musculoskeletal tissue interfaces can also be isolated from xenogeneic sources. The method comprises treatment of the interface with detergents, chemical oxidants and ultrasonic energy, and wash steps in between to remove residual detergents as well as oxidants. The resulting bioscaffold may be freeze-dried or lyophilized, sterilized and aseptically packaged for subsequent use.

Abstract:

An olefinic composition has a moderate concentration of Type 2 Colefins. The oligomerate composition has hydrocarbon molecules with minimal branching which make excellent diesel and can also be readily cracked to propylene. Consequently, oligomerate product can be sent to the diesel pool or fed or recycled to an FCC unit to increase production of propylene.
