Who is Irene Shaffer? Irene Shaffer is a 33 year resident of Boulder. Irene is originally from Rawlins, Wyoming. She graduated from the University Of Wyoming in Elementary & Special Education. Before entering the Real Estate Industry, Irene was a Substitute Teacher, Bank Teller and Business Office Supervisor with Mountain Bell (now AT& T). Irene’s Real Estate career began in 1982. Since then, Irene has helped many families with the difficult transition of moving. She has worked with Corporate Relocation, First-Time Buyers, Senior Citizens, Move-Up Buyers, Move-Down Buyers, Singles & Families. Irene is an expert in Relocation. Nobody knows the Boulder area better than she does. Irene has a full appreciation and understanding of the difference in the philosophies and the real estate values of all the cities in Boulder & Broomfield County (Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, Longmont & Broomfield). She has the knowledge of real estate financing and the experience to make the transaction occur smoothly. Her peers recognize Irene as an expert in the industry. She served on the Board of Directors for the Boulder Area Realtor Association for 16 years. One of those years she was President of the Board. Irene has also served on many committees for the Colorado Association of Realtors. She is currently serving on the Professional Standards/Ethics committee both locally and at the State level to ensure high standards are used throughout the profession. Irene is also very involved in the Boulder community. She works with the Affordable Housing Alliance, YWCA, the Boulder Chamber Of Commerce and is retired member of their Board of Directors. Since joining Re/Max Of Boulder in 1984, Irene has consistently received awards for her production. In 1995, she received the prestigious Re/Max Hall Of Fame Award (given for lifetime achievement-an award held by only 1% of all Re/Max agents). Irene’s non-work activities focus on her Family including her husband of 35 years and her two daughters. Kelly, a graduate of the University Of Colorado-Boulder in Communication & Heather, a graduate of the University Of Wisconsin-Madison where she majored in Business. Heather went on to work as a lender and bank manager for 1stbank. Heather joined Irene at RE/MAX 6 years ago to form The Shaffer Team. Irene’s Philosophy Of Life Is “Work Hard -Play Hard”.
