Abstract:

A shared storage system that is optimized for post-production workflows that use NLEs such as Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere and Avid is disclosed. Further, shared storage systems comprising workstations and shared storage systems, such as NAS devices, are disclosed that optimize workstation settings based on a database of optimal configuration settings to provide optimal bandwidth, minimal latency and stable performance for digital content creation/editing workflows that use file exchange between the workstation and the shared storage system. Novel methods and systems for storage systems are disclosed that configure and expose share drives in novel ways to facilitate video editing, audio editing and compositing.

Abstract:

Intelligent application notification management is provided. A state machine on a communication device is used to retain, sequence, and handle notifications included in a notification queue. It is determined whether a new notification has been received and whether the new notification can be added to a notification queue based on a maximum number of notifications. It may be determined whether the new notification is a duplicate of an existing notification in the notification queue. Notifications in the queue may be combined, reordered, and altered. The notification queue may be modified based on one or more of the following: an attribute, user input, user preference, a system state, or whether an application to which the notification is related is currently active. The notification management system may therefore decide which of the notifications to display and when to display them, such that notifications are presented logically and a user is not overwhelmed.

Abstract:

One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a system that can provide training for an operating room staff member. The system can include a hand device with a housing that can be configured to receive an input of a device from the operating room staff member. Inside the housing, the hand device can include a non-transitory memory that stores instructions and a processor that can be configured to execute the instructions to at least: provide an instruction related to placing a surgical instrument in the hand device to the operating room staff member; receive a test surgical instrument from the operating room staff member in response to the instruction; and determine whether the test surgical instrument matches the instructed surgical instrument.
