Abstract:

A P6 point electrostimulation device is provided that has a first band, a user interface housing, and a second band. The first band has a free end and is attached to the user interface housing at its other end. The user interface housing has an inner dorsum surface, an outer display surface, a first end that is attached to the first band, a second end that is attached to the second band, user controls, and electronic control circuitry, which includes a power source and pulse generation circuitry. The second band comprises a flexibly rigid curved section which comprises an inside curved surface, an outside curved surface and a pair of electrical conduits and a palmar section which comprises a flat inner surface that has a pair of electrodes, and an outer surface. The flexibly rigid curved section is attached to the user interface housing at one end and to the palmar section at the other end. Each electrical conduit is attached to an electrode at one end and to the electronic control circuitry at the opposite end and the flat inner surface of the palmar section faces the inner dorsum surface of the user interface housing.

Abstract:

A method of reducing or eliminating alcohol hangover symptoms in an individual identified as experiencing an alcohol hangover is disclosed. The method includes positioning a non-invasive nerve stimulation device on the individual's wrist, wherein the electrodes of the non-invasive nerve stimulation device are in electrically conductive contact with skin at acupuncture point P6 of the wrist. The method also includes generating a stimulation signal and delivering the stimulation signal to the acupuncture point P6 of the wrist to reduce or eliminate one or more alcohol hangover symptoms in the individual. The alcohol hangover symptoms could include headache, nausea, retching, vomiting, fatigue, gastrointestinal distress, drowsiness/lethargy, problems concentrating, dry mouth, and dizziness.

Abstract:

A method of reducing or eliminating vertigo symptoms in an individual experiencing vertigo or an individual identified as being susceptible to vertigo is disclosed. The method includes positioning a non-invasive nerve stimulation device on the individual's wrist, wherein the electrodes of the non-invasive nerve stimulation device are in electrically conductive contact with skin at acupuncture point P6 of the wrist. The methods also include generating a stimulation signal and delivering the stimulation signal to the acupuncture point P6 of the wrist to prevent, reduce or eliminate one or more vertigo symptoms in the individual. The vertigo symptoms may include a feeling of spinning, tilting, swaying, or being unbalanced or pulled to one direction, vomiting, abnormal or jerking eye movements (nystagmus), headache, sweating, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, visual disturbances, weakness, difficulty speaking, a decreased level of consciousness, and difficulty walking.

A method of preventing reducing or eliminating virtual reality sickness symptoms in an individual engaged in a virtual reality activity is disclosed. Abstract:

A P6 electrostimulation device has a pair of electrodes connected to electronic control circuitry that includes a power supply and pulse generation circuitry. The electrodes of the device are made of 316L stainless steel and manufactured by metal injection molding. Each electrode may be a D shaped electrode made of 316L stainless steel and manufactured by metal injection molding. The electrode has a straight edge having a length of about 22.00 to about 25.50 mm and an arcuate edge having an inner radius of about 10.50 to about 13.00 mm, and a thickness of about 0.50 to about 1.75 mm.
