Abstract:

Color, pattern, design, and/or the like is applied by means of a jet dye process, or any other secondary or post pattern application process, including but not exclusively, silk screen printing and rotary printing, etc. , to a carpet substrate, where the yarn in the carpet is all white (no dye applied) or where the yarn is pre-dyed with a single or multiple colors or where the yarn is treated chemically. The carpet can, for example, be made with any conventional loom weaving process or hand weaving process, for example Wilton, Axminster, spool, spool gripper, and Chenille looms, hand gun tufted, or any other conventional method.

Abstract:

A system whereby a prospective purchaser of floor coverings may be provided with a simulated view of various floor covering styles and patterns within the actual contemplated environment of use including furniture, walls, and other non-floor covering elements within the environment of use. A view of the proposed environment of installation is communicated to a floor covering manufacturer or other designated entity for manipulation of the image in digital form to display floor covering products of interest to the purchaser within the proposed environment of use. The generated images are thereafter communicated back to the potential purchaser for his or her review and consideration. A standardized product identification system is utilized to insure that the floor coverings of interest to the potential consumer are imported into the digitized view.

A process for forming a carpet, and the carpet formed thereby are provided. The process includes forming a thread comprising low melt fiber and high melt fiber. The thread is then heated above a temperature sufficient to melt the low melt fiber. The thread is tufted in a carpet backing to form a tufted carpet. The tufted carpet is then printed or dyed with an image. A process for forming a low melt content yarn and the yarn formed thereby are provided. It is preferred that the carpet and low melt content yarn be adapted to printing or dyeing.

Abstract:

A smoke alarm is disguised as a Christmas tree ornament. A lamp is connected between a power source and the control circuit of the alarm and is located on the ornament in a position where it is a part of the ornamentation. Should the lamp be extinguished this would signal that the control circuit has become disconnected from the power source calling for instant investigation and, if necessary, repair.

Abstract:

A transportable golf bag is disclosed which comprises a pair of deployable wheel assemblies attached to the lower portion of a semi-rigid golf bag. The bag forms the structure of the device without requiring a separate frame or chassis. The wheel assemblies can be locked in a deployed or stored position. The stowed wheels are covered by a closable pocket. A deployable handle for pulling the bag, and a deployable leg for supporting the bag in an upright position can be stowed when not in use.
