Abstract:

The present invention provides for a method of dosing treating agents into a washing machine in particular sequences so that only one treating agent is dosed at one time. This avoids interaction of incompatible treating agents as well as provide for better cleaning as now one treating agent can perform without interference from other treating agents typically found in washing machines.

Abstract:

This present invention provides an element for controlling release of a quaternary disinfectant in aqueous solutions comprising a substrate coated with the residue of an aqueous composition of a water soluble polymer and a quaternary ammonium disinfectant characterized in that the water soluble polymer has weight average molecular weight of 85,000 to 186,000 and a degree of hydrolysis of 87 to 89 percent.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a liquid toilet bowl cleaning and sanitizing composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of particles of at least one halogen donating compound wherein said particles have a surface modifier absorbed on the surface thereof in an amount sufficient nanometers (nm). The compositions of the present invention can contain other conventional ingredients in toilet bowl cleaning compositions such as enzymes, surfactants, perfumes, dyes and other similar ingredients. In a preferred embodiment the composition contains: 0. 2-10. 0 Weight percent surfactant; 35. 0-75. 0 Weight percent halogen donating nanoparticles; 1. 0-7. 0 Weight percent dye; 0-3. 0 Weight percent alkali; 0. 05-0. 5 Weight percent fragrance; and 20. 0-40.

Abstract:

A pigmented bleach-containing hard surface cleaner comprises an alkali metal hypochlorite, bentonite clay, a mono-(long chain alkyl)-tertiary amine oxide, an alkali metal salt, a pH stabilizer to attain a pH of 11 or higher, an alkali metal alkyl sarcosinate, an alkylbenzene sulphonate, and an inorganic pigment which is preferably ultramarine blue. The cleaning composition has excellent colour stability as well as phase stability and hypochlorite stability.

Abstract:

Acidic, thickened cleaning and disinfecting compositions which exhibit good long term shelf stability, are particularly effective in the removal of limescale from hard surfaces, and which are effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria. The compositions comprise one or more nonionic surfactants; one or more quaternary ammonium surfactant compounds having germicidal properties; an acid mixture comprising formic acid and one or more water soluble organic acids, particularly water soluble organic acids selected from the group consisting of: lactic acid, citric acid, glycolic acid and where the formic acid and one or more water soluble organic acids are present in a weight ratio of formic acid: formic acid:water soluble organic acid(s) of 1:0. 1-10; a cellulose based thickening composition; optionally but desirably a one or more conventional additives such as a coloring agent, fragrance or pH adjusting agent; and, water. The compositions may also include further conventional adjuvants such as perfumes and coloring agents in minor amounts.
