Abstract:

The invention presented is a pad printing blanket that reduces damage to pad printing heads. The industry-standard pad printing head is soft plastic, silicone or urethane. The pad is used to print designs on three-dimensional surfaces and the pad must be pressed firmly onto said surfaces. This pressure leaves permanent indentations on the print pad surface, eventually rendering the print pad useless for printing. The invention covers said print pad with a blanket of soft plastic which carries the ink for the image. Only the pad blanket contacts the printable surface, protecting the print pad and reducing the need for expensive print pad replacement.

Abstract:

A modified ink cup for plate printing is presented, where the ink cup is separated internally into two domains, a storage area and a print area, by a baffle system. The baffling allows only a limited amount of exposure of the ink in the ink cup to the outside air, reducing evaporation of the ink solvent and extending the life of the ink supply in the cup. This system greatly reduces the number of times an ink cup has to be re-filled to perform plate printing and limits the evaporation of possibly toxic solvents to the air.

Abstract:

A housing has a magnetic block therein with (preferably) an exposed side. The housing has (preferably) an integral, annular, curved, elastomer skirt forming a suction cup. The suction cup is used to attach the magnetic block to the external side of an oil passageway, e. g. an engine oil filter cartridge, such that the exposed side abuts, or nearly abuts, the passageway, the exposed side being a centralized base of the suction cup. The magnetic lines of force emanating from the magnet penetrate beyond the wall and attract magnetically attractable particles from oil passing thereby. The particles are held against the side opposite the magnet.

Abstract:

A printing pad machine that can print a 360 degree image on a cylindrical object. That objective is achieved by modifying a conventional printing pad machine having a support member—interconnected to an overhead gantry—and an adjustable and moveable actuator system and power source. The modifications include using a single angled print pad having a contact wall having a first height, a lower wall having a second height that is less than the first height, an angled surface interconnecting the contact wall's distal end and the lower wall's distal end, and a base wall (a) interconnecting the contact wall's proximal end and the lower wall's proximal end and (b) connectable to a base. Another modification includes a flexion-extension hinge positioned between (a) the support member and the base or (b) the support member and the overhead gantry and controlled by the adjustable and moveable actuator system and power source. That objective can be accomplished with the conventional printing pad machine using the single angled print pad. Both objectives can also be accomplished by adding ridges to the single angled print pad.
