Abstract:

An increased efficiency, more durable pool leafing tool, and method, for gathering leaves and other pool debris from a pool bottom wall has a handle, a handle-controlled basket of a water-pervious and leaf and debris-impervious plastic mesh pocket having a closed end and an open end and a leaf and debris receiving volume therebetween formed by longitudinally extended sidewalls. The sidewalls provide an open end edge margin that is attached to a supporting frame. A pocket stay structure has one or more spring elements bent on themselves about the pocket closed end. The stay structure extends attached to the sidewalls for substantially the sidewall longitudinal extent length for biasing the mesh pocket volume against collapse onto itself in its empty or leaf and debris-filled condition to facilitate both gathering and disposal of leaves and debris from swimming pools.

Abstract:

A low cost, repairable pool cleaning tool for cleaning debris from a pool bottom wall, comprising a mesh fabric debris receiver having a perimetrical portion, a frame supporting the mesh fabric receiver by its perimetrical portion for debris reception, a protective sleeve surrounding the frame against contact with the pool bottom wall, and a pole attached to said frame for manipulating the receiver in the pool to gather debris from the pool, the mesh fabric being adhesively bonded to the frame or to the sleeve for ease of manufacture and for ready replacement and repair. The tool further includes positive clamping of the fabric mesh at the pole connection to the frame, and a rotatable and removable scrubber lip journaled on the sleeve.

Abstract:

An apparatus for cleaning swimming pools, cement finishing tools, and wire ceiling applications, having an outer tube having a collar and angled detent, and a mechanism for attaching a tool. A dodecagon shaped inner tube configured to be received within the outer tube within an aperture in the collar. The inner tube is shaped to slide within the outer tube to a selected position in relation to the outer tube, allowing for the angled detent to position and secure the inner tube within the outer tube. A plurality of apertures are aligned on the inner tube, so that the angled detent, which includes a locking mechanism, which may be a tapered or ringed pin that is operably engaged with one of the apertures, to secure the inner tube at a selected position within the outer tube.
