James Grover Guitarist/Bass Guitar/Background Vocals/Composer James Grover was born and raised in Park Slope Brooklyn, NY. As a child it was evident that music was something that came naturally to him. Creating instrument sounds like Drums, Keyboards, Flute, Guitar and Bass with household items like coffee cans, wood tubes, rubber bands and strings which eventually lead James in 1991 to play what he found most interesting.."The Guitar", self taught and with a natural latin feel, James' playing embodies melodies that are very distinctive often jokingly referred to by his fellow musicians as the "Groverization" process. This ability has landed James the opportunity of playing shows with recording artists like Edwin Vazquez who has worked and recorded with artists like Julio Voltio, Mary J Blidge's "No More Drama" Grammy Award winning producer Edwin Ramos and legends like Paul Simon on the Songs of the Capeman C.D. Also Tex Leroy originally known as Peter Evans who recorded a hit single called "Shots and Beers" in the late 70's and produced vinyl records nationwide. Within the last six months James has shared a countless amount of arenas that include radio, television, theaters, festivals and venues all over New York!
