Abstract:

A mid-call feature of a voice call server, such as an IP PBX or IP Centrex system, is accessed during a call. During the call with a mobile terminal via a mobile telephone network, a voice call signal associated with a mid-call feature from the mobile terminal is passed over a mobile telephone network to a first communication system. The voice call signal is converted to a data call signal at the first communication system, and the data call signal is transmitted to a second communication system over the data network. The method can also include providing the mid-call feature in response to receipt of the data signal at the second communication system.

A method and system for monitoring the movement of academic test materials and/or their shipping containers while providing a complete chain of custody of those test materials and shipping containers. Test materials include paper based and electronic based tests and related items such as answer keys, teacher notes, and study guides. The providers of the test materials include, but may not be limited to, test publishers, state and federal agencies, specialized test developers, and distributors of tests created by other parties. Users include, but are not limited to, school districts, individual schools, students, corporations, and other individuals, as well as the test publisher, state and federal agencies, and other test producers. The tracking is done through the scanning of bar codes or RFID devices printed on or otherwise affixed to test materials and the test material shipping containers. The method and system monitors the chain of custody of the test materials throughout the distribution and return paths.

Abstract:

A cardiac catheter testing apparatus having a support structure including a plurality of receptacles adapted to removably receive a first probe of an electrical continuity measuring device. The support structure also includes electrical contact prongs adapted to removably receive the connective end of a cardiac catheter, which catheter has at least one electrode at the end of the catheter substantially opposite the connective end. The testing apparatus also includes electrical contact elements electrically connected to the receptacles to form an electrical path between the first probe when inserted in one of the receptacles, the electrical contact elements and the signal generating electrode. A second probe is electrically connected to the electrical continuity measuring device which displays a value indicating the presence or absence of electrical continuity between the electrode and the connective end of the catheter when the second probe is brought into contact with the electrode.
