Abstract:

In at least one embodiment, the present invention relates to a method and system for providing blends of virgin polyethylene terephthalate (VPET) and a VPET property modifying component (PCM). In one embodiment, separate sources of solid VPET and solid PMC are provided. A conduit is provided between the sources and a bulk-container, which is suitable for delivery to an end user. VPET from the source of VPET and PMC from the PMC source are selectively dispensed into the conduit in a desired amount to form a uniform blend of materials comprising a predetermined ratio of VPET relative to PMC. The blend of materials is transported to the bulk-container for delivery to an end user.

Abstract:

Provided are methods and apparatus for managing software components on a device when transferring device management responsibilities for the device from a first device management server to a second device management server. The capability to change device management servers while coordinating changes to software components on a managed device may be referred to as application portability. A mobile device in the present disclosure may change device management providers while maintaining access to certain licensed applications managed by a device management server. In an embodiment, a proprietary software component may be removed and a replacement software component installed from a category of applications that comprises the removed proprietary software component and the installed replacement software component. Also provided is a mechanism for managing software components on a mobile device switching network providers by sending configuration changes rather than reloading software components that are substantially similar.

Abstract:

A method for managing software on a device is provided. The method comprises: receiving, from a third party associated with the device, by a software administrator of an organization different from the third party, release information regarding software versions for the device; creating, by the software administrator, a profile that specifies whether or not at least one of the software versions is allowed on the device; and transmitting the profile, by the software administrator to a server computer associated with the third or other parties, to promote enforcement of the profile for the device.
