A ladder suspension bracket releasably receives and suspends a portable ladder for use, storage, and transportation if on a vehicle (FIG. , FIG. ) comprising of a receiving bracket (FIG. , or FIG. ) and a lower distance maintenance bracket (FIG. , or FIG. ) optionally pivotable () to hold step ladder substantially away from the ascension surface () or horizontal () as required for the ladder type. Bracket is configured such that ladder can easily be released of suspension mode (FIG. , FIG. ) and used independent of this mounted position (FIG. ). In addition to the claim of such a bracket a ladder having intentional configuration () to provide for suspension is also claimed, as is the combination thereof.
