  • US Patent:
    7629177, Dec 8, 2009
  • Filed:
    Feb 24, 2004
  • Appl. No.:
    10/785304
  • Inventors:
Dean Vinson Davis - Bartlesville OK, US
Jeffrey Scott Spaulding - Tulsa OK, US
Eugene L. Kesselhuth - Bartlesville OK, US
  • Assignee:
Siemens Industry, Inc. - Alpharetta GA
  • International Classification:
    G01N 33/00
  • US Classification:
    436181, 422 83, 422 89, 422 94, 422 98
  • Abstract:
The present invention is a method and apparatus for sampling a high-temperature gaseous process stream containing components with high boiling points. The sampling system is especially suited for instruments having extremely low pressure chambers, such as mass spectrometers. The invention reduces the condensation of high boiling point components of the sample in the sampling system without the necessity of maintaining extremely high temperatures. The gaseous sample is passed through an orifice from the high temperature stream into a lower-temperature zone of the sampling system where a low pressure is maintained by a vacuum pump. The low pressure reduces the boiling point of the sample components so they may be maintained in a gas phase without excessive heating. The low pressure sample is then introduced into an instrument chamber through a sample introduction valve.

    13/838880
  • Inventors:
Michael Chi Kin Lau - San Francisco CA, US
Jeffrey S. Spaulding - Sunnyvale CA, US
Jinal Dalal - Sunnyvale CA, US
  • International Classification:
    H01R 12/71
    G11B 33/02
  • US Classification:
    36167933, 439629

The data connector includes a first connector configured to mate to pins of the hard drive, a second connector configured to mate to a SATA data connector, and a flexible cable connecting the two. The first connector includes an alignment feature to engage a corresponding alignment feature on the hard drive. The first connector is coupled to the carrier and slidable in a plane perpendicular to the first axis, and the first connector is configured such that when carrier receives the hard drive and the alignment feature engages the corresponding alignment feature the first connector moves in the plane perpendicular to the first axis to provide alignment of the first connector to the pins of the hard drive.
  • Mount Apparatus For A Trolling Motor

    view source
  • US Patent:
    7294029, Nov 13, 2007
  • Filed:
    May 1, 2006
  • Appl. No.:
    11/415298
  • Inventors:
Jeffrey S. Spaulding - Tulsa OK, US
  • Assignee:
Brunswick Corporation - Lake Forest IL
  • International Classification:
    B63H 5/20
    B60L 11/00
  • US Classification:
    440 53, 440 6
  • Abstract:
A mount apparatus for a trolling motor provides latching positions for the stowed and deployed conditions of the trolling motor. Locking the mechanism in either the stowed or deployed positions is accomplished solely by moving the shaft of the trolling motor assembly in a lever-like movement about a pivot axis which extends through the base and transmission structure of the mount apparatus. This locking procedure is accomplished without the necessity of moving the shaft in a direction which is generally parallel to its central axis. As a result, the locking movement required by an operator to latch the trolling motor in its deployed and stowed positions is ergonomically preferable to known types of systems.
  • Impinging Jet Manifold For Chip Cooling Near Edge Jets

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20210378139, Dec 2, 2021
  • Filed:
    May 29, 2020
  • Appl. No.:
    16/887122
  • Inventors:
    - Mountain View CA, US
Jeffrey Scott Spaulding - Sunnyvale CA, US
Evan Fraisse - Sunnyvale CA, US
  • International Classification:
    H05K 7/20
  • Abstract:
Systems and methods for chip cooling with near edge jets in a direct liquid cooled module are disclosed. One of the functions of a direct liquid cooled module is to provide cooling liquid to components located on a chip. Jet impingement directly onto the back side of a chip is one cooling method that can provide more efficient cooling. An orifice plate includes an array of small diameter holes that correspond to high velocity jet locations and large diameter holes for the insertion of tubes to connect to lower pressure cavities.
