Abstract:

Sharable extended cell information is used by multidimensional data models to enable cell annotations and line item details. Annotations are notes stored with a cell in a multidimensional dataset. Line item details permit levels of numeric detail below the lowest dimensional granularity. When receiving a multidimensional dataset in response to a query, a client application receives indicator information at the cell level, indicating to the client application that extended cell information is retrievable.

Abstract:

A system and method for facilitating querying one or more data sources. A system provides mechanisms to enable flexible specification of user queries and generation of one or more SQL queries that correspond closely to corresponding user queries. An operator tree and a logical operator tree may be created as intermediate steps to generate the one or more SQL queries. Capabilities of data sources are determined and used to generate remotable SQL queries for composable queries, to reduce an amount of post-processing that is performed on result sets. The system enables user queries that extend beyond those defined by a data model.

Abstract:

Technologies are described herein for modeling business processes that facilitate the collaborative submission of data in a WFM system by modeling business processes in terms of cycles and assignments. A cycle defines a scenario for the business process along with a window of time in which the business process should be executed. Assignments are work activities that are defined within each cycle. A cycle definition is created for each business cycle within a business process. Each cycle definition includes data defining a recurrence pattern for the business cycle and data defining a time period in which one or more contributors to the business cycle may contribute data. Each cycle definition also includes one or more assignment definitions that define the scope, contributors, approvers, validation rules, deadlines, and data forms that should be used for the assignment.

Abstract:

A scalable workflow management system is provided that includes queues for storing work items to be processed. Work items may be placed into the queues by front-end services executing within the workflow management system. When a work item is placed on a queue, it remains on the queue until an appropriate back-end service is available to de-queue the work item, validate the de-queued work item, and process the de-queued work item. Separate queues are provided for storing normal work items, work items generated according to a time schedule, and work items generated by job launching services. The state of operation of the workflow management system may be controlled by an administrative console application.

Abstract:

Drug-loaded microbead compositions including a plurality of individual microbeads of a biodegradable material, a plurality of individual vesicular agents, a first therapeutic agent, and a second therapeutic agent different from the first therapeutic agent. The vesicular agents include at least one lipid bilayer surrounding a vesicular core. The first therapeutic agent is associated with the individual vesicular agents. For example, the first therapeutic agent may be contained within the individual vesicular agents or may be associated with the individual vesicular agents by ionic or non-covalent interaction. The second therapeutic agent is different from the first therapeutic agent and contained within the individual microbeads or associated with the individual microbeads through ionic or non-covalent interaction. The second therapeutic agent may or may not be associated with the individual vesicular agents. Drug-loaded biodegradable microbead compositions include microbeads of biodegradable material and a therapeutic agent associated with N the microbeads.

Abstract:

Medical devices such as stents, stent grafts, and balloon catheters include a coating layer applied over a modified exterior surface of the medical device. The modified exterior surface comprises an exterior surface of the medical device subjected to a surface modification that decreases a surface free energy of the exterior surface before application of the coating layer an exterior surface. The coating layer comprises a hydrophobic therapeutic agent and at least one additive. The modified exterior surface may affect the release kinetics of the drug from the device, the crystallinity of the drug layer, the surface morphology of the coating and particle shape, or the particle size of drug of a therapeutic layer in the coating layer. For example, the effects caused by the modified exterior surface may increase the retention time and amount of therapeutic agent in tissue.

Abstract:

Drug-loaded microbead compositions include microbeads of a water-swellable polymer material and a complex of a carrier and a therapeutic agent chemically bonded to the carrier. The complex is embedded in the polymer material. Methods for preparing the drug-loaded microbead compositions and embolization compositions include loading a therapeutic agent into a water-swellable polymer material to form microbeads, then removing water from the microbeads. Additional drug-loaded microbead compositions include microbeads of a biodegradable material, vesicular agents, a first therapeutic agent associated with the vesicular agents, and a second therapeutic agent different from the first therapeutic agent. The vesicular agents include a lipid bilayer surrounding a vesicular core. The second therapeutic agent is contained within the microbeads or associated with the microbeads through ionic or non-covalent interaction and may or may not be associated with the vesicular agents. Drug-loaded biodegradable microbead compositions include microbeads of biodegradable material and a therapeutic agent.
