A bi-directional pressurized system with devices for and configured to mitigate issues associated with leak and creep phenomena at various stages throughout the system, including valves and controls to distribute a leaked amount of fluid prior to delivery to a pressure-sensitive destination and a pressure relief valve to bring an initial pressure within an acceptable range for distribution to reach a target pressure. A startup method for mitigating leakage of the system during a rest phase, including selectively reducing the initial pressure upstream of a pressure-sensitive destination.

Abstract:

A flexible tip I/A tip assembly includes an elongated sleeve for protecting an eye capsule wound through which the sleeve is inserted and for containing irrigation fluid. The sleeve includes a lumen therethrough and a nipple for removably coupling the elongated sleeve to a handle by elastomeric contact therewith. A retractor with a worm is disposed within the sleeve for transferring aspiration in any angle of the eye capsule. The sleeve and the retractor are held in operational relationship with the handpiece by a nipple which, due to its transparency, enables visual adjustment, alignment, installation and confirmation of the operative relationship therebetween.

The packaging comprises two segments which secure the food product and the nutraceutical so as to provide a shelf-stable environment that prevents contamination between the various contents. In one embodiment, a single nutraceutical is packaged with a food product. In other embodiments, multiple nutraceuticals with a food product are secured. In yet another embodiment, the food product and nutraceuticals are placed within a tray and then sealed with the two segments. The food product is preferably a fruit based substance, but it may take other forms. The nutraceuticals may be a solid mass, in pill or capsule form, or they may be liquid housed within a container.
