Abstract:

A method for evaluating sell through rate in on-line guaranteed display advertising systems includes steps or acts of: receiving a set of eligible advertisement samples for a selected profile for a contract at different time durations; receiving an allocation plan representative of an allocation of future impressions of currently booked contracts; receiving eligible and available impressions for the selected profile at the specific time duration, using the set of eligible samples and the allocation plan; computing a historical sell through rate of the selected profile for the specific time duration as one minus a quotient of available impressions divided by eligible impressions; and computing a target sell through rate for a future time duration by applying the historical sell through rate to the future time duration.

Abstract:

An apparatus and method are provided for reducing flicker and/or vertically scaling an interlaced video image. In a first embodiment, a sequence controller selectively addresses a video memory to retrieve pixel data from adjacent scan lines. The pixel data is multiplexed and converted into RGB data in a look up table and stored in upper and lower latches as upper and lower pixel data. The upper and lower pixel data is then weighted using a predetermined weighting scheme to produce hybrid pixel color data for an even or odd field. By reducing relative contrast between even and odd field lines, flicker is reduced. In a second embodiment, vertical resolution is reduced, for example, from 480 lines to 400 lines, by applying a series of weighting schemes or filters to weight data from six input lines into five output lines. To reduce flicker in the output lines, data from adjacent lines may weighted to reduce relative contrast. Due to the 6:5 reduction, a discontinuity in the output lines may exist where adjacent line data is not weighted.

Abstract:

The technologies described herein identify multiple electronic devices belonging to the same group. A computer system receives, from network accessing applications of a plurality of electronic devices, internet protocol (IP) trajectory information about the network accessing applications via a network. The IP trajectory information includes a user identifier, a list of IP addresses associated with each of the network accessing applications, and timestamps specifying times each of the network accessing applications accesses the network. The computer system identifies and removes commercial IP addresses from the list of IP addresses, analyzes IP trajectory information to retrieve a most commonly used IP address for each of the network accessing applications during a certain period, and determines that different network accessing applications belong to the same group if the most commonly used IP addresses for the different network accessing applications are the same.
