Abstract:
Data packets are selected for simultaneous transmission to multiple users using a transmitter with limited transmission power by first establishing transmission power requirements for each user, receiving in a queue a plurality of data packets for transmission to one or more users, and selecting one or more data packets for transmission in a composite burst with cumulative power for the selective packets not exceeding the limited transmission power. Data packets are selected for sequential composite bursts until all data packets in the queue have been transmitted, at which time transmission ceases until more incoming packets arrive at the queue. In selecting data packets for transmission, data packets which have previously been delayed in transmission can be given priority as well as priority based on quality of service subscribed by each user. Additionally a predetermined priority weight can be assigned to data packets and used for selection.

Abstract:
Described herein is a method for producing a contact lens comprising a central photochromic zone that has a diameter of about 13 mm or less and is concentric with the central axis of the contact lens. The method comprises: applying, in the center of the molding surface of a male mold half, a drop (having a volume of about 5 μL or less) of a first polymerizable fluid composition containing at least one photochromic compound and a relatively-high molecular weight polysiloxane vinylic crosslinker for increasing the viscosity and adhesion on the molding surface of the male mold half; dosing a second polymerizable fluid composition in a female mold hald; closing the female mold hald with the male mold half with the drop thereon to form a molding assembly; and curing the second polymerizable fluid composition and the drop of the first polymerizable fluid composition in the molding assembly.

Abstract:
The invention is directed to an embedded hydrogel contact lens, which comprises an insert sandwiched between two layers of hydrogel materials and can be produced according to a cast molding method including the procedures involving two females halves (FC and FC) and two male halves (BC and BC) and three consequential molding steps involving three molding assemblies: the 1st one formed between FC and BC for molding an insert; the 2one formed between FC and BC for molding a lens precursor having the molded insert embedded in a layer of a hydrogel material in a way that the front surface of the molded insert merges with the convex surface of the lens precursor; and the 3rd one formed between FC and BC for molding an embedded hydrogel contact of the invention.
Systems And Methods For Fault Detection Based On Peer Statistics
While many network components include diagnostic capabilities that are sometimes implemented at the hardware level, these diagnostics can be unreliable. Thus, false indications of operability or inoperability can result when these diagnostics are relied upon exclusively. To better detect operational problems with a network component, operational parameters from the network component and one or more peer devices are analyzed to determine whether the network component is operational. In some embodiments, data derived from these operational parameters is provided to a supervised machine learning model, and the model provides output indicating the operational status of the network component. Some embodiments binarize operational parameters of a device and compute a maximum duration the binarized parameters indicate inactivity of the device. Some embodiments compute a moving average of the binarized parameters. The maximum duration and/or moving average(s) are provided to the machine learning model in some embodiments.
Methods Of Modulating Expression Of Target Nucleic Acid Sequences In A Cell
The present disclosure provides methods and compositions of modulating expression of a target nucleic acid sequence in a cell. The method comprises introducing into the cell a nucleic acid sequence encoding a Cas9 fusion protein and a guide RNA, wherein the Cas9 fusion protein and the guide RNA are expressed and co-localize at a target site and modulate the expression of the target nucleic acid sequence.
