Disclosed is a tubular prosthesis formed by rolling a flexible sheet around a longitudinal axis. Preferably, the prosthesis is self expandable under the radially outwardly directed spring bias of the rolled sheet. Also disclosed are catheters for delivering two or more of the tubular prostheses at a site within a body lumen. Multiple prostheses may be deployed directly against a vessel wall in a single procedure, or may be deployed within a vascular graft to provide support throughout the length of the graft.

Abstract:

A nebulizer device for use in a breathing circuit is disclosed. The device consists of a nebulization chamber in flow communication with a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The gas inlet is configured to be coupled to a source of gas which is directed into the nebulization chamber. The gas outlet is configured to direct gas from the chamber to a patient connection. A uniquely configured siphon jet assembly for producing fine particles of liquid extends into the nebulization chamber and is movable into a plurality of positions. This permits the regulation of both the amount of liquid entrained by the gas as well as the size of the liquid particles formed.

Abstract:

A removable cover for converting a programmable infusion pump into a patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) device. The cover can be placed onto an infusion pump and electrically connected thereto when open. The cover includes an internal switch which allows selection of normal or PCA pump operation. A second internal switch automatically disables the keyboard of the pump when the cover is closed. The cover is lockable, and when it is closed and locked, the internal switches are inaccessible, the cover cannot be removed from the pump, and the electrical connection to the pump cannot be disconnected. When closed, the cover also defines an inaccessible compartment for the storage of medication. An external push button is provided to allow the patient to trigger analgesia doses at safe intervals when the pump is in the PCA mode.
