Abstract:

Using two new integral component types, RGRS provides an effective way from the ground to rotate and clean rain gutters. The Rotating Bracket attaches to the fascia board and maintains the normally upright gutter. A self-closing hinge in the rotating bracket provides retention yet allows the gutter to be rotated forward 180 degrees for cleaning. The Collector Box located directly under the gutter floor is secured to the fascia board and connects to a standard downspout. The collector box captures water from a drain hole in the gutter floor and directs it into the downspout. There is no connection between the gutter and collector box. Using a third non-integral component, comprised of an actuation rod/cleaning brush tool attached to an extendable telescopic pole, an operator at ground level can rotate, manually clean (if gravity can not dislodge wet contents present) and upright the gutter.

Abstract:

A solar energy electric generating system for space vehicles is provided which directly generates alternating current from ambient light without the use of inefficient power conversion. Light incident to photocell arrays is mechanically or electrically gated to produce fluctuating DC. A number of transforming devices are provided to convert the fluctuating direct current to alternating current. By varying the frequency and duty cycle of the pulsing output voltage, frequency and phase relative to some reference may be controlled. Additionally, direct current may also be produced efficiently from the same photocell arrays. A closed-loop system is provided for regulation. The rotational torque produced by a rotating shutter version may also be used, under inertial navigation control, to provide a rotational torque for vehicle positioning.

A sealing arrangement including a closure cap and an integral mounting gasket for sealing a mounted electrical connector housing. The closure cap and the gasket are formed as a one-piece, unitary member. The closure cap is designed to engage a shroud of the electrical connector housing for covering the electrical contacts of the electrical connector. The gasket is designed to seal the interface between the electrical connector housing and a wiring enclosure. Abstract:

A method and apparatus for marking data that is temporarily cacheable to facilitate the efficient management of said data. A bit in the segment and/or page descriptor of the data called the marked data bit (MDB) is generated by the compiler and included in a request for data from memory by the processor in the form of a memory address and will be stored in the cache directory at a location related to the particular line of data involved. The bit is passed to the cache together with the associated real address after address translation (in the case of a real cache). when the cache controls load the address of the data in the directory it is also stored the marked data bit (MDB) in the directory with the address. When the cacheability of the temporarily cacheable data changes from cacheable to non-cacheable, a single instruction is issued to cause the cache to invalidate all marked data. When an "invalidate marked data" instruction is received, the cache controls sweep through the entire cache directory and invalidate any cache line which has the "marked data bit" set in a single pass.
