International Classification:

US Classification:
424/070100
Abstract:
The present invention relates to personal care foaming and cleansing products comprising multiple phases which are separate and distinct and comprise at least one surfactant solution having a density or specific gravity of approximately 1.0. In a two-phase composition, a second separated phase may comprise cosmetically acceptable oily materials as emollients/conditioners having a density greater than that of the surfactant solution. In a three phase composition, an additional phase may comprise a low density emollient/conditioning compound(s) as an upper third phase. Thus, two, three or even four phase foaming bath products, shampoos and skin cleansers can be produced that can be differentially colored to enhance the visual separation of the layers and will provide foaming, cleaning, conditioning and emolliency in a unique and attractive manner.

Abstract:
A system provides an on-line project area. The project area includes respective private areas for entities participating in the project. Each private area is accessible and controllable only by participants from an entity associated with that private area. The project area includes a shared area that is accessible to all participants. A determination regarding whether and to whom information from a particular private area is to be shared is based on permissions established according to a distributed system in which each participant independently can control sharing of objects owned by that participant from the participant's private area to the shared area.

Abstract:
Hair care compositions for relaxing and/or straightening hair having enhanced properties comprising about 1% to about 10% ethoxydiglycol and sodium hydroxide, and methods for making the hair care compositions. The hair care compositions may also comprise emulsifying wax, mineral oil, petrolatum, cetearyl alcohol, water, other active or inert ingredients, colorings and fragrances. The compositions may be used in methods for relaxing and/or straightening hair having reduced processing times.

Personal care products comprising Applicant's stable suspensions, including skin protectants, sunscreens, moisturizers, vehicles for medicaments, antiperspirants, deodorants, pressurized products such as aerosol products, vehicles for skin treatment products and vehicles for makeup, area of the eye, lip products, mascara and color cosmetic products.
Applications Of Cross-Linked Silicone Gel In Personal Care Products

International Classification:

US Classification:

Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of cross-linked silicone gel, in particular, a polymerization product of a polyorganohydrosiloxane, with the proposed INCI name (Dimethicone/polymethylalkyl siloxane copolymer), in cosmetic applications to provide unexpected characteristics related to formulations incorporating these silicone gels.
The invention is directed to the use of a number of hydrophilic silicone elastomers in various cosmetic and personal care products where they serve various functions such as emulsifiers, film forming agents, viscosity stabilizers, conditioning agents and protective barrier forming agents. Emulsions and personal care products based upon same are also described.
The present invention describes, in one aspect, the use of two oppositely charged surfactants as the primary emulsifiers in two separated parts of a product. The emulsifiers are chosen such that when the two parts of the emulsion product are mixed, the emulsifiers react to form water insoluble compounds that are no longer able to function as emulsifiers, thus, the oil phase of the emulsion is precipitated onto the skin along with the emulsifier reaction product. Since none of the deposited materials are water soluble, or capable of functioning as emulsifiers, the deposited oil phase is extremely resistant to being washed off. This technology finds applications in hand and body creams and lotions, baby care products, sunscreens, skin protective products, makeup systems, and automotive and furniture polishes.
