Abstract:

An apparatus for and method of performing multi-photon light sheet microscopy (MP-LISH), combining multi-photon excited fluorescence with the orthogonal illumination of light sheet microscopy are provided. With live imaging of whole and zebrafish embryos, the high performance of MP-LISH compared to current state-of-the-art imaging techniques in maintaining good signal and high spatial resolution deep inside biological tissues (two times deeper than one-photon light sheet microscopy), in acquisition speed (more than one order of magnitude faster than conventional two-photon laser scanning microscopy), and in low phototoxicity are demonstrated. The inherent multi-modality of this new imaging technique is also demonstrated second harmonic generation light sheet microscopy to detect collagen in mouse tail tissue. Together, these properties create the potential for a wide range of applications for MP-LISH in 4D imaging of live biological systems.

A system and method for communicating content to users that includes a prioritizer and a listing module communicating the category and content identifier for a content to the prioritizer. The prioritizer associates a lifecycle having a plurality of lifecycle states with the category, assigns a first priority to the content in response to a first lifecycle state of the plurality of lifecycle states, changes the first lifecycle state to a second lifecycle state and changes the first priority to a second priority in response to changing the first lifecycle state to the second lifecycle state.

Abstract:

An apparatus for and method of performing light sheet microscopy (LISH) and light scanning microscopy (RAPS) in a single device are provided. The dual-mode imaging microscope allows for the use of both LISH and RAPS in a single instrument. This dual-mode device will allow researchers to have access to both types of microscopy, allowing access to the widest possible selection of samples. In addition, the device will reduce the high costs and space requirements associated with owning two different microscopes (LISH and RAPS).

The present invention relates to a microscope coupled tissue sectioning system. The tissue sectioning system includes a frame for coupling with a microscope. A sample cutting apparatus is attached with the frame. The sample cutting apparatus includes a sample cutter (e.g., blade) and is operable for causing the sample cutter to engage with the sample and remove a portion of the sample. Additionally, a sample moving apparatus attached with the frame. Abstract:

A system and method for communicating content to a user device includes a head end that communicates metadata for a plurality of content including the content titles. The system also includes the user device that generates a screen display comprising the plurality of content titles from the metadata and generates a selection corresponding to a first content title from a user interface, the user device adds metadata for the first content title to a queue and displays the queue in a priority order on the screen display. The user device is tuned to receive content corresponding to the first content title and stores the content in a storage device.

Abstract:

The main member of the Dental Articulator is a unitary structure of first and second bodies attached by legs. Each of the legs has a self-hinge. The body each has a socket which receives a ball. The balls each has a tapered spline which engages in the corresponding mold recess in a dental cast. The balls are clampable in the sockets when the dental casts are in proper relative position. The self-hinges permit repeatable opening and closing of the dental cast.

A system and method for communicating content to a user device includes a head end that communicates a plurality of upcoming content metadata that includes a content title to the user device. The user device displays the upcoming content metadata and selects at least one upcoming content metadata from the plurality of upcoming content metadata to form selected data.
