Abstract:

A call from a wireline unit to a wireless unit may be made by the wireline unit using an extension of the wireless unit rather than a wireless number of the wireless unit. A table includes an entry for the wireless unit that includes the wireless extension and a corresponding wireless number of the wireless unit. The extension is used to obtain the corresponding wireless number from the entry for the wireless unit in the table. The call then is routed pursuant to the obtained corresponding wireless number. Similarly, the inclusion of wireless units in the communications network allows for calls using extensions between a wireless unit and a wireline unit, between wireless units, and of course, between wireline units.

Abstract:

A system and method for controlling wireless network access for stolen wireless devices is disclosed. The system creates an electronic record for devices intended for sale in retail stores. The records associated with the devices include a field that identifies the devices as unsold prior to being shipped to those stores. Upon proper purchase, the retail store automatically communicates to the wireless service provider that a device has been sold. The system updates the electronic record to show that the device has been purchased. Sold devices are allowed to access the network as normal. Attempts to use a device marked as unsold result in the call being routed to a fraud management center for verification of proper device purchase.

Abstract:

Described herein are tissue grafts derived from the placenta. The grafts are composed of at least one layer of amnion tissue where the epithelium layer has been substantially removed in order to expose the basement layer to host cells. By removing the epithelium layer, cells from the host can more readily interact with the cell-adhesion bio-active factors located onto top and within of the basement membrane. Also described herein are methods for making and using the tissue grafts. The laminin structure of amnion tissue is nearly identical to that of native human tissue such as, for example, oral mucosa tissue. This includes high level of laminin-5, a cell adhesion bio-active factor show to bind gingival epithelia-cells, found throughout upper portions of the basement membrane.
