Abstract:

An apparatus for manufacturing multiple die cut business forms is disclosed. A printing press includes a number of different stations that are connected together by a continuous web so that multiple die cut business forms are produced and transported through the printing press by the continuous web. One aspect of the present invention is that a silicone treated glassine stock paper substrate can be utilized to allow business forms to be produced with minimized curling.

Abstract:

A form that incorporates either a label or card such that the form can be reliably printed on by the end user and manufactured less expensively. The integrated label form includes a top printable substrate and a liner substrate mated together by an adhesive. The top printable substrate serves at least partially as removable portions capable of being reapplied. Weakened lines of substrate may be provided to define removable portions on the top printable substrate. The form also may include a similar printable substrate mated to the other side of the liner by adhesive. Weakened lines of substrate also may formed in the second substrate to define removable portions. The integrated card form includes a printable substrate and a first and second laminate mated to the substrate and together by an adhesive. Weakened lines of substrate and first laminate define an integrated removable portion capable of being held in the form by the second laminate and easily removed manually when desired. In the integrated card form and the integrated label form, a recess may be provided adjacent the removable portion to facilitate removal of the removable portion.

Abstract:

A combination stencil and label apparatus and method for forming and attaching same wherein the apparatus can be applied directly or indirectly to business forms, packaging and other surfaces. A web of stencil material is removably attached to a juxtaposed web of label material which is then cut to form a plurality of stencil assemblies. The stencil assemblies, which may include preliminarily impressed indicia, are then manually, or automatically applied to, for example, a business form. The label material may also include an image producing liner which simultaneously accepts and displays the indicia impressed on the stencil material and, in turn, the label. Furthermore, the stencil material, label material and liner material are each releasably attached to one another so as to facilitate independent use after initial affixation to the business form.

Abstract:

A stencil apparatus for removable and stabilized affixation to the upper surface of a business form for subsequent removal, in a facilitated manner, to enable reproduction of indicia on other surfaces such as shipping containers. A thin planar ply of stencil material is operably bonded to a frame member attached along the material's bottom peripheral surface. The frame member is, in turn, removably affixed to the upper surface of the business form by adhesive in the form of spherical globules. A method for forming and affixing the stencil apparatus to the business form is described in which continuous webs of stencil and frame material are preliminarily formed for subsequent yet removable bonding of individual stencil assemblies to the business form.
