Abstract:

A reservation system can identify available placements based on targeting criteria provided by advertisers and placement inventory data provided by publishers. The reservation system can receive reservation data for the available placements from the publishers and provide the reservation data with the available placements to the advertisers. The available placements and can be ranked and presented to the advertisers based on a first precision with which the placement can satisfy the advertiser's targeting criteria. A second precision can be determined for each placement that has enabled targeting rules. In turn, the reservation system can rank and present the placements based on the first and second precisions.

Abstract:

Methods, systems and computer program products for inferring a value of a visitor property for a visitor to a web destination are described. A set of traversals indicating visits to web destinations are received, including scored and unscored traversals. Initial destination scores for the web destinations visited by the scored traversals are inferred based on the known scores of the scored traversals. Initial scores for the unscored traversals are estimated based on the initial destinations scores. Revised destination scores for the web destinations visited by the scored traversals and initial destination scores for the web destinations only visited by the unscored traversals are inferred. Revised scores for the unscored traversals are estimated based on the revised destination scores and initial destination scores. Revised destination scores for all of the web destinations are inferred based on the scores of the scored traversals and the revised scores of the unscored traversals.

Abstract:

A system management framework is described for application delivery and configuration management of mobile devices. The framework includes a management server and a mobile computing device. The management server is configured to communicate download instructions for purposes of configuration management of mobile computing devices. The mobile computing device is configured to connect to the management server over a non-persistent connection. The mobile computing device requests download instructions from the management server to determine any offerings that may be available for download and installation by the mobile computing device. Any offerings presented by the management server represent one or more files that have been made available since a last successful download operation conducted by the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device allows a user to accept or reject download and installation of any one or more of the offerings.

The subject invention can track and apply user edits to a source document as a sequence of changes. The changes can be applied in a document or spatial order irrespective of temporal factors. The invention can maintain intervals that represent user operations (e.g., insertions, deletions, zero-net-length changes). As well, the invention can infer a location in the original document that corresponds to a particular operation. In accordance therewith, the invention can arrange temporally sequenced user document modifications into an order consistent with the layout of the document file encoding. This functionality of mapping re-sequenced changes into the original document data representation is one novel feature of the invention. The invention can enable portions of the source document loaded into memory on an as-needed basis whereby changes relevant to the instant portion can be made.

A complex business logic encapsulation system and method are provided. The system can encapsulate complex business logic, for example, for workflow application(s). The system includes a common business logic layer component that encapsulates the business logic of objects in a store. The common business logic layer can employ response objects which encapsulate the business logic of complex objects in the store. The response object provides one or more suitable responses. The client can then identify the appropriate response, populate the response and send it back to the common business logic layer component.
