Abstract:
The invention provides an apparatus, system and method for distributing passively a coaxial based CATV RF signal over unshielded twisted-pair cables. The distribution of the coaxial based CATV RF signal involves distributing the signal into a group of output signals. The output signals are then coupled to unshielded twisted-pair cables. If the unshielded twisted-pair cable is detached, the output signal is terminated through a resistor. Thus, a coaxial based CATV RF signal can be distributed to many unshielded twisted-pair cables with any unused output signals being properly terminated.
Disclosed is an electrical connector which includes a modular jack and 110-type connecting block. The connector may be installed directly to a 110-type index strip.

Abstract:
The invention is a modular cross-connect system which has a connector block having an array of connector jacks therein and which is mountable on a panel. The block has pivot pins for pivotally mounting it in an aperture in the panel, and the rear of the block has connectors thereon for connecting wires or other signal carriers to the connector jacks. The block can be pivoted to give access to the connectors from in front of the panel so that connections can be made, after which the block can be pivoted back to its operative position and latched in place. In a second embodiment of the invention, the block is supported by retaining clips extending from the front of the panel so that it can be supported in front of the panel during wiring after which it is inserted into an aperture in the panel and pivotally supported therein, with means on the block for latching it in place.

Abstract:
An integrated wall outlet plate includes a faceplate having a front side and a rear side. A plurality of connectors is integrally formed with the faceplate, each of the connectors extending through the faceplate from the front side to the rear side. Mounting means are positioned on the rear side of the faceplate, for mounting the outlet plate in a wall. The connectors can be of various types, including, but not limited to, coaxial cable connectors, telephone wire connectors, loudspeaker wire connectors, and RCA-type audio/video connectors.
