Abstract:

The table tennis ball distribution and storage apparatus and method described herein stores a plurality of table tennis balls and automatically projects a single ball on command. The apparatus includes an integrated timing system that simultaneously loads a single ball from a storage unit into a firing cavity, cuts power to a motor to keep the ball within the firing cavity, and arms a flipper system. The integrated timing system includes an integrated ball support/feeder system, a flipper system, and an actuator system. The integrated ball support/feeder system both supports the stored balls and loads a single ball into the firing cavity. The flipper system is used on the apparatus to propel the ball in an exact and proper trajectory. An actuator system controls the timing of the flipper system. The table tennis ball distribution and storage method uses the apparatus to store and distribute table tennis balls.

Abstract:

A table tennis ball delivery device adapted to be secured to or adjacent the side of a table tennis table for directing a ball to a player upon the activation of a switch by the player. The device includes a chamber for carrying a supply of table tennis balls, a ball transfer mechanism for selectively advancing an individual ball from the chamber to a location over a flexed or cocked delivery spring oriented such that upon activation of the switch by a player, the spring is released so as to strike a ball and launch the ball to the player. The ball transfer mechanism is coordinated with the spring cocking and release mechanism so as to position another ball over the delivery spring and re-cock the spring immediately upon the launching of the ball to the player.

Abstract:

An apparatus for opening bottles and storing data has an enclosure formed from a pair of semi-enclosed casings that includes a gripping member having a pair of tabs for grasping and removing caps from bottles. The enclosure provides a protective shell for a portable data storage device that may be pivoted outwardly from within the enclosure when the device is in use. The data storage device includes a universal serial bus plug and can be used with any electronic device having a universal serial bus port, such as a desktop computer, notebook computer, communications device, and the like. The apparatus may be carried separately or can be attached to another carrying device or hung on a hook.
