A decorative capped wheel nut for holding a wheel on a motor vehicle where the capped wheel nut is exposed to view and to the enviroment. The nut has first and second ends, the first end to engage the wheel of the automobile, and a circumferential edge intermediate the first and second ends. The cap includes a side section to cover the sides of the nut insert and a top section, joined to the side section, to cover the second end of the nut insert. The opposite end of the side section terminates in a free edge, flare or flange which contacts the circumferential edge of the nut insert. The cap and nut inset are welded together at the contact between the circumferential edge of the nut insert and the free edge of the cap.
The spar track cleaning and maintenance device comprises: a compressible, working surface for cleaning, lubricating and maintenance of a longitudinally extending, irregularly-shaped, spherical opening defined by a spar track; at least a first compressible, resiliently flexible, cordage member for inserting into the spar track opening and for slidably engaging an internal surface of the track opening; and a control means for adjustably shaping the working surface and the first cordage member upon being inserted within the spar track opening. The control means adjustably shapes the working surface and the first cordage member which is integrally formed with the working surface to allow the working surface and the first cordage member to compress and substantially conform to the irregular spherical shape of the internal track surface and be in slidable engagement therewith. The compressed working surface and the first cordage member upon being slidably moved within the track opening reduces friction at the internal track surface and enhances the sliding of the mating slides and boltropes when under loadings from the sail.
Decorative Capped Wheel Nut And Method Of Making Same
A decorative capped wheel nut for holding a wheel on a motor vehicle where the capped wheel nut is exposed to view and to the environment. The cap and nut insert are welded together at the contact between the circumferential edge of the nut insert and the free edge of the cap.
A device maintains an elongated, generally, T-shaped, spar track for a free running of mating slides and boltropes under loadings of a sail through cleaning and maintenance. A first internal surface region of the T-shaped track opening is comparatively wider than a second internal surface region of the track opening. The second internal surface region merges with a third external region of the track opening. The improvement comprises a compressible, flexible, pliable member for cleaning, lubricating and maintenance of the T-shaped track opening. The pliable member is prefolded and united to provide a T-shape corresponding to the shape of the track opening. The pliable member is provided with a T-shape to facilitate insertion of the pliable member into the track opening and to enable the pliable member to be in slidable engagement with the track opening. A control member adjustably shapes the pliable member when inserted within the track opening to cause the pliable member to compress and to substantially correspond to the T-shape of the track opening. The inserted pliable member is in slidable engagement with the track opening when subjected to compression through the control member, and when being slidably moved to allow the effects of corrosion to be reduced, and thereby, enhance a free running of the slides and boltropes under the loadings.

Abstract:
A wheel cover retention system (10) for use with motor vehicle wheels includes a plurality of lug nuts (16) and a wheel cover (12). Each lug nut (16) has a decorative outer surface (42) with a flange (36) and a driving head which includes wrenching flats (42). The driving head sustains installation torque required to fix the wheel (14) to a vehicle. An intermediate body portion (40) of the lug nut (16) is smaller in diameter than the flange (36) is disposed between the flange and an end of the lug nut. The wheel cover has a plurality of apertures (28) accommodating passage therethrough of the body portion of the lug nuts (16).
An improved wheel nut for securing a wheel to a vehicle hub or the like and for retaining a wheel cover on the wheel. The wheel nut preferably includes a nut body and a cap secured to the nut body and an axial gap is provided between the end of the cap and a portion of the nut body. A retaining ring is provided in the axial gap and the retaining ring extends radially outwardly beyond the wheel nut for retaining a wheel cover against the wheel and for precluding removal of the wheel cover unless the wheel nut is first removed.
Water And Dirt Protective, Camcorder, Shooting Case
A water and dirt protective, camcorder, shooting case comprises an enclosure. The enclosure comprises an outer structure that substantially encapsulates the camcorder and minimizes damage from adverse environmental elements and from harmful shock and impact from external objects, while allowing camcorder shooting with the enclosed camcorder. The enclosure includes interconnected folding end frames, tension members for allowing the enclosure to be adjustable from a collapsed, flexible, folded arrangement to an erect, tensioned and semi-rigid arrangement, which semi-rigid arrangement serves to minimize said damage. The enclosure also comprises a water and snow resistant, a dirt and dust protective, and a shock and impact protective material to effect minimizing said damage. Lastly, the enclosure has a mounting means interconnected with the end frames, tensioning members and outer structure so as to allow the enclosure to be suitable for use with a number of camcorder models having different formats, physical sizes and camcorder control positions.
