Abstract:

A method for forming a headliner assembly includes forming a main body having a periphery, and a shape corresponding to a desired shape of the headliner assembly; positioning the main body in a mold having a recess; closing the mold; and injecting foam into the recess to simultaneously form an energy absorbing member and join the energy absorbing member to the main body proximate the periphery of the main body.

Abstract:

A vehicle headliner assembly includes a first structural member cooperating with a second structural member to form air ducts between them. A portion of the first structural member is covered by a decorative cover that presents an appearance surface to the vehicle passenger compartment. Integrally formed in the second structural member are an energy absorbing structure and an attachment structure. Thus, the headliner assembly eliminates the need for separate air ducts, separate energy absorbing material, and separate wiring harness and hose clamps. The headliner assembly is also configured to facilitate attachment of passenger compartment devices such as grab handles, without the use of separate fasteners or retainers.

A wrist prosthesis has first, second, and third components that in one form are a radial component, a metacarpal component, and a bearing component. The bearing component is non-fixed or non-stationary relative to one of the radial component and the metacarpal component when the wrist prosthesis is assembled such as when implanted into a patient. As such, in one form a rotational joint or union is provided on the radial component and the bearing component. The bearing component is thus free to rotationally ride on the radial component, preferably 360 thereabout. Distal the radial component, the bearing component includes an articulation surface. The metacarpal component includes an articulation surface that is complementary to the articulation surface of the bearing component. In this manner, the metacarpal component correspondingly moves relative to the bearing component. The bearing component is preferably made of a polymer such as polyethylene.

Abstract:

A shipping deck and shipping storage system is disclosed. The shipping deck is a generally rectangular tile member formed of a plastic material. The shipping deck is substantially planar to support cargo placed thereon. The shipping deck rests upon three or more adjacent cargo bars and a plurality of downwardly projecting legs extend from the tile member in order to limit the movement of the shipping deck and to allow for stacking of the shipping decks when not in use. The cargo bars secure within a track which is located on opposite walls of the shipping container. The shipping deck, the cargo bars, and the track within the shipping container form a system for shipping storage.
