Johnny and Mary Ann Weir first set foot on Harbor Island in 1992. They immediately recognized all the island had to offer and their dream was to eventually live on this little piece of paradise. They built their cottage in 1993 and 10 years later made it their permanent home. They have never looked back. Living on Harbor has been more than they could have ever imagined…the energetic and fun-loving couple enjoys every aspect of island life. Whether walking the 2-mile stretch of beach, which is never crowded, playing tennis, swimming, socializing with friends, meeting neighbors while cruising in their golf cart ….the main mode of transportation on the island… or just quietly relaxing…soaking in the nature and beauty that surrounds…"Harbor Island is their passion." Prior to moving to Harbor Island, the Weirs owned and operated their own businesses for the better part of their 42 years of married life. Johnny has a combined 37 years of sales and service experience and in the past few years has become a Top-Performer in the real estate market. As Broker-In-Charge of Palmetto Moon Realty, Johnny is committed to conducting business in an ethical and professional manner while continuing to deliver an extraordinary level of service to his clients. Mary Ann, a realtor with an extensive background in Interior Design is excited to work with her husband and offers "Staging" to their clients. "We have fun working together as partners. It allows us to mentor one another on both a professional and personal level by pooling our knowledge and strengths we are able to provide a level of service no single agent can match." The husband and wife team of Palmetto Moon Realty specializes in properties on Harbor Island where they live, work and play. The clients' needs and priorities are the Weir's focus and they are dedicated to providing a level of service beyond expectations by building trust and appreciation before, during and after the real estate transaction. "We are or will be your neighbors says it all…It's just a great way to do business!"

Love & SCOTUS: Writers on Gay Marriage and the Future
My first reaction was: "Why am I spending the day with my mother?" My second reaction was to propose to the first man I saw, who happened to be a toll booth attendant off Exit 6 of the Jersey Turnpike. -- John WeirJohn Weir: I'm expecting a raft of "gay" novels by straight writers who will now position themselves as the experts on gay marriage, because despite "marriage equality," nobody -- including LGBT people! -- wants to read books written by and substantially about LGBT people!
