Abstract:

A âhigh availabilityâ telephony/messaging system includes a first host comprising a first telephony application, a second host comprising a second telephony application, and a TSP for routing calls on a plurality of telephone circuits to the first and second hosts, for processing by one of the first and second applications. An Inter-System Call Transfer process permits a call routed to an application on one host to be transferred to an application on another host. Therefore, a call routed to a host that is unable to process the call can be redirected to another host that is able to process the call.

Abstract:

A method and system for preventing hung calls on a channel of a network interface device of a voice messaging system is described. A channel of the network interface device receives a new incoming call from the telephone network. If no other call is in progress on the same channel as the one on which the new call was received, the new incoming call is accepted. On the other hand, if another call is already in progress on this channel, the other call is terminated and the new incoming call is rejected. At this point, the network interface device is ready to accept any subsequent calls received on that channel.

Various aspects may include transmitting, by a first vehicle processor of a first vehicle traveling in the platoon, a collaborative lighting plan to a second vehicle traveling in the platoon, wherein the collaborative lighting plan may direct the second vehicle to direct one or more headlights of the second vehicle in a direction other than a direction of travel of the platoon. The first vehicle processor may then direct one or more the headlights of the first vehicle in accordance with the collaborative lighting plan.

Directing the headlights to avoid visual interference with operation of the second vehicle may include switching the headlights to a low-beam configuration.

Abstract:

Embodiments include methods performed by a processor of a robotic vehicle for detecting and responding to defects on an on-board imaging device that includes an image sensor. Various embodiments may include causing the imaging device to capture at least one image, determining whether a defect to the imaging device is detected based at least in part on the at least one captured image, and, in response to determining that a defect to the imaging device is detected, identifying an area of the image sensor corresponding to the defect and masking image data received from the identified area of the image sensor.

Systems and methods for tool orientation and/or position determining system are described herein. In one example, a plurality of tool sensors can be coupled to a tool. The tool sensors can provide data to a control module or system controller. The orientation and/or position of the tool can accordingly be determined from the data. If the orientation and/or position of the tool matches a desired orientation, the tool and/or control module can provide an indication that the tool is in the desired orientation.
