Abstract:

An electrical power tap connector for a model vehicle is provided including a first power tap housing. The first power tap housing may contain a power tap terminal configured to electrically couple with a connector terminal of an electrical connector. The power tap connector may also include a second power tap housing releasably securable to the first power tap housing and a releasable locking mechanism configured to physically secure the power tap connector to the electrical connector. Wherein the power tap terminal may be configured to electrically couple with the connector terminal via a non-mating end of the electrical connector.

Abstract:

A model vehicle with body mount components are provided. A tongue member attached to a model vehicle body with a first and second tongue member is configured to engage a first securing member attached to a model vehicle chassis. A top surface of the second tongue member draws the model vehicle body towards the model vehicle chassis when the second tongue member engages the first securing member. A lever member with a lever handle, jaw clamp, and a lever pivot is configured to pivot between an engage and an unengaged position. The jaw clamp engages with a second securing member in the engaged position. The lever member further contains a retaining mechanism that is configured to rotate between a retained and unretained position. The retaining mechanism inhibits the lever handle from moving from the engaged to the unengaged position when the retaining mechanism is in the retained position.

Abstract:

An auxiliary Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) and method are provided. The auxiliary BEC may include a receiver plug-in port with a low voltage power and ground connection and a receiver communication connection and an electronic speed control plug-in port comprising a low voltage power and ground connection and an electronic speed control communication connection. In addition the auxiliary BEC may include a battery pre-wire connection for electrically coupling to a high voltage positive terminal of a high voltage battery. Wherein the auxiliary BEC passes through communication signals between a receiver and the electronic speed control via the receiver communication connection and the electronic speed control communication connection. Wherein the auxiliary BEC provides converted high voltage power from the high voltage battery for the receiver and herein the auxiliary BEC powers on and off corresponding to input from the low voltage power and ground connection of the electronic speed control.

Abstract:

A wheel well system and method for a model vehicle are provided. The wheel well system may include a wheel well apparatus having a wheel well configured to fit within a wheel well recess of a model vehicle body. The wheel well comprising body attachment bores, support member bores. The wheel well apparatus may include a support member configured to couple to the wheel well. The wheel well system may also have two wheel wells configured to fit within wheel well recesses and a support member attached to the two wheel wells. The two wheel wells are configured to fixedly couple to the model vehicle body via the body attachment bores. The method may include providing a wheel well fixedly coupled to a support member and fixedly coupling the wheel well to a model vehicle body.
