Abstract:

This invention relates to improvements in bulk containers, and more particularly to seamless tubular fabric bulk containers for facilitating the transport of milk powder for human consumption, or any other flowable powders or grains, including animal feed or grain, from a commercial manufacturer or grain silo to the farm and for facilitating the feeding of farm animals. The improved bulk container comprising a top, a bottom, and a plurality of sides comprising, a seamless vertical member, said vertical member being elongated, said vertical member having a first and a second end, said first end of the vertical member being affixed to the top of the bulk container and the second end of the vertical member being affixed to the bottom of the bulk container. The bulk container has four lifting straps; said lifting straps being opposedly affixed to the first end of the vertical member, and having a means for reinforcing said bulk container when said bulk container is filled, said reinforcing means comprising a vertical reinforcing member and a reinforcing member, said vertical reinforcing member comprising a beginning and an end, said vertical reinforcing member being wovenly engaged vertically to the vertical member, said reinforcing member comprising a beginning and an end, said reinforcing member being affixed circumferentially to the first end of said vertical member, said reinforcing member affixedly engaging the vertical reinforcing member and the lifting straps.

Abstract:

This invention relates to an airconditioning system which uses a plurality of absorption chiller-cells, for refrigerating an antifreeze fluid that is circulated through fan-coil units of an airconditioning system. The anti-freeze fluid passes through refrigerant evaporators in each cell structure in a consecutive order for lowering the temperature of the antifreeze fluid gradually. More particularly, it relates to an absorption chiller-cell system having a plurality of evaporators employing multi-refrigerant circulation circuits in an absorption cycle to produce sufficient refrigerant for the airconditioning system. The invention enables the physical size of the system to be relatively small, so that the system can replace conventional electric airconditioning units for home applications. In further aspects, this invention provides an airconditioning system which includes a plurality of absorption chiller-cells that produce various kinds of capacity of the system by combining more or less numbers of chiller-cells, the invention provides also an easier and simpler solution for maintenance or replacement of chiller-cells.

Abstract:

An apparatus and a method of compressing and expanding a video signal. The apparatus includes a variable length coder controller and a quantizer. The coder controller compares a bit amount generated in the use of an optimum symbol with that in the use of an existing symbol upon detection of a scene change and outputs a new symbol upon the presence of a gain in accordance with the compared result. A frame delay delays input image data in a unit frame, a subtracter for subtracting an output signal of the frame delay from the input image data, and a scene change detector for detecting a scene change of the input image data. A motion detector detects a motion in the input image data, a main codebook for forming variable sub-codebooks for a still picture, a codebook controller for selecting a specified portion of the main codebook and variable sub-codebooks, and a vector formation unit for forming the input image data into a vector. A distortion measurement unit obtains a codeword with a minimum distortion using the variable sub-codebooks if the input image data is the still picture and using the main codebook if the input image data is a motion picture, and a code assignment unit for assigning a proper code to an output signal from the distortion measurement unit.

Abstract:

A serial transfer system for performing serial data transfer between transmission and reception stages which have phase locked loops for generating reference clock signals. The serial transfer system has a transmission circuit and a reception circuit. The a transmission circuit converts parallel data from the transmission stage into a serial data signal at the same time that it appends a data marker to the parallel data in response to the reference clock signals from the phase locked loop of the transmission stage and transmits the converted serial data signal through a coaxial cable. The reception circuit receives the serial data signal from the transmission circuit through the coaxial cable, converts the received serial data signal into the original parallel data using its appended data marker and the reference clock from the phase locked loop of the reception stage and outputs the converted parallel data to the reception stage.

Abstract:

Various example embodiments are directed to methods and circuits for mitigation of on-resistance variation and signal attenuation in transistors due to body effects. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a transistor configured to provide a data signal from a first one of the source or the drain to the other one of the source or the drain in response to a control signal provided to the gate. A body bias circuit is configured to bias the body of the transistor based on a voltage of the data signal to reduce variation in the on-resistance exhibited by the first transistor. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes body bias transistors and switches and the gates of the body bias transistors are connected to protect the body bias transistors from the effects of electrostatic discharge (ESD) events.
