Abstract:

Improved automatic gain control for an amplifier is obtained by controlling the size of a null zone in a drive signal for the amplifier. The size of the null zone is controlled by estimating strength of an interference signal, and dynamically varying the size of the null zone based on the estimated strength of the interference signal. As a result, the amplifier rarely saturates, regardless of signal strength. The invention is useful to reduce the harmful effects of jamming or interference.

F.

Abstract:

A combined storing and slicing device is provided with a rectangular box-like container having one open shorter side through which a stick of butter or the like is received. A cutting line is held in a taut condition and is mounted for movement between a first rest position at the top of the open side and a second position at the bottom of the open side while traversing the open side. Abstract:

A deicing and snow melting device, for lowering the melting point of ice and snow, comprises of a plurality of pellets including an active ingredient. Each pellet of the plurality of pellets has at least an underside and a topside. The active ingredient is selected from the group consisting of chloride salts, organic compounds, alcohols or mixtures thereof. A base comprising a water-soluble sheet is joined to either one of the underside or topside of each pellet of the plurality of pellets. The base may define at least one hole through a top surface and bottom surface of the base allowing for easy dispersion of the active ingredient.

Abstract:

An apparatus for measuring physiological parameters of a mammal subject includes a first sensor system and a second sensor system that are time-synchronized to each other and spatially separated. Each sensor system has a plurality of electronic components and a plurality of flexible and stretchable interconnects that are electrically connecting to different electronic components, and an elastomeric encapsulation layer at least partially surrounding the plurality of electronic components and the plurality of flexible and stretchable interconnects to form a tissue-facing surface and an environment-facing surface. The plurality of electronic components includes a sensor member for measuring at least one physiological parameter of the mammal subject, a system on a chip (SoC) having a microprocessor coupled to the sensor member for receiving data from the sensor member and processing the received data, and a transceiver coupled to the SoC for wireless data transmission and wireless power harvesting.

Abstract:

A sensor network for measuring physiological parameters of a mammal subject includes a plurality of spatially separated sensor systems that is time-synchronized to each other. Each of the plurality of spatially separated sensor systems is attached to a respective position of the mammal subject and includes a sensor member for measuring at least one physiological parameter, a system on a chip (SoC) having a microprocessor coupled to the sensor member for receiving data from the sensor member and processing the received data, and a transceiver coupled to the SoC for wireless data transmission and wireless power harvesting. The sensor network also includes a microcontroller unit (MCU) adapted in wireless communication with the plurality of spatially separated sensor systems for wirelessly transmitting data to and from the plurality of spatially separated sensor systems.
