Status quo hasn't been working, so Dallas Stars eye future with Brenden Morrow ...
The Stars would have been better suited playing this stretch with Morrow. The player they acquired from the Penguins, 20-year-old defenseman Joseph Morrow, could wind up spending the rest of the season in the AHL with the Texas Stars to continue gaining pro experience.

lso Monday, the Penguins placed Dustin Jeffrey, Nick Petersen, Robert Bortuzzo and Boris Valabik on injure reserve, NHL.com reported. They also send Jason Williams, Alexandre Picard and Brian Strait to their AHL Scranton/Wilkes-Barre affiliate and returned first-round pick Joseph Morrow WHL Portland.
