Abstract:

A closure structure for a container includes a cap and a surrounding tamper-evident sleeve. The tamper-evident sleeve is initially engageable with a retaining element of the container located below the cap to prevent axial upward displacement of the sleeve with respect to the container. The sleeve includes a retention member overlying the cap to prevent manipulation of the cap to an open condition. The sleeve includes a frangible feature arranged to be torn to facilitate removal of the sleeve to permit manipulation of the cap to an open condition.

Abstract:

A tamper-evident dispensing closure system is provided for a container. The system has a body for extending from the container at the container opening. The body defines a dispensing orifice, a channel, and a retention member projecting over a portion of the channel. The system includes a lid for being moved between a closed position and an open position. An anchor member is provided for being received in the channel and has an engaging portion for engaging the retention member when the anchor member is received in the channel. At least one frangible web initially connects the anchor member with the lid so that the frangible web breaks when the lid is initially lifted from the closed position.

Abstract:

A closure structure for a container includes a closure body, a cooperating lid and a surrounding tamper-evident sleeve. The closure body has an end wall having a dispensing orifice, and an annular sidewall depending from the end wall and having internal threads engageable to external threads of the container. The closure lid is movable to cover the dispensing orifice in a closed position and movable away from said closed position to uncover the dispensing orifice. The tamper-evident sleeve surrounds the closure body and has a bead engageable to a retaining element of the container located below the closure body to prevent axial upward displacement of the sleeve with respect to the container The sleeve includes a retention member overlying the lid to prevent opening movement of the lid. The sleeve includes a frangible feature arranged to be torn to remove the sleeve and disengage the retention member from over the lid to allow opening of the lid.

Abstract:

A strap, for releasably holding a battery in a predetermined position on a platform having a projecting stud flanking the battery, comprises a stud engaging portion connected integrally with a bar engagable with the battery for traversing and releasably holding the battery in the predetermined position. The stud engaging portion has a section engagable with the projecting stud. The stud engaging portion includes levers for shifting the section between a stud engaging position and a stud releasing position.
