Abstract:
The present invention provides viral adjuvants for enhancing an immune response to an immunogen. In particular embodiments, the viral adjuvant is an alphavirus adjuvant or a Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis viral adjuvant. Also provided are compositions comprising the viral adjuvant and an immunogen, and pharmaceutical formulations comprising the viral adjuvant or compositions of the invention in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Further provided are methods of producing an immune response against an immunogen in a subject comprising administering the immunogen and a viral adjuvant of the invention to the subject.

Abstract:
A system and method for managing grants received from one or more sponsors is proposed. The grants management system receives a transaction request and retrieves data associated with the transaction request from a data cube. The grants management system then determines, from the perspective of the sponsors, if the transaction request satisfies administrative and financial requirements imposed by the sponsors. If the administrative and financial requirements are satisfied, the transaction request is admitted.

Abstract:
The invention provides immunogenic formulations comprising virus-like particles (VLPs) from two or more genoclusters and/or strains of norovirus in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In representative embodiments, the formulation also comprises an adjuvant, for example, a viral adjuvant or CpG. The invention also provides methods of inducing an immune response to one or more noroviruses.

Abstract:
Collector plates for use in the second stage of a two-stage electrostatic ecipitator comprise plates having non-conducting surfaces to which a coating of low conductivity, typically between 300 and 150,000 ohms per square, is affixed. One embodiment of such plates typically comprises a rigid, non-conducting plastic material coated with a material of low conductivity. Another embodiment of the present invention comprises a metallic plate coated with an insulating material of high dielectric strength, typically with a dielectric constant of at least 3000, to which the above mentioned low-conductivity coating is affixed. The collector plates may be mounted in such a manner as to maintain the airflow through the second stage of the precipitator in a direction virtually parallel to the surface of the plates.
