Abstract:

An agricultural vehicle includes a chassis and a header carried by the chassis. The header includes: a header frame; a cutter movably coupled to the header frame; a reel arm pivotably coupled to the header frame; a reel carried by the reel arm and including a plurality of tines; a variable displacement fluid cylinder including an interior chamber, a first piston linked to the reel arm placed within the interior chamber and a second piston placed within the interior chamber, the interior chamber defining a shared volume between the first piston and the second piston; and a piston driver linked to the cutter and configured to translate movement of the cutter relative to the header frame into displacement of the second piston within the interior chamber.

Abstract:

A header frame of an agricultural harvester capable of adjusting the position of attachment of a toolbar to a main frame is provided. The header frame includes a main frame, first and second sides attached to respective lateral ends of the main frame, a toolbar, a brace and an adjustable bracketing assembly. The toolbar extends in a widthwise direction of the main frame. The brace includes a first end attached to the main frame and extends in a direction towards the toolbar. The adjustable bracketing assembly connects the brace to the toolbar and includes a bracket for connecting to the toolbar, and a mount attached to the brace. The bracket is attachable to the mount about a plurality of positions.

A cutter guard assembly for a knife drive of an agricultural farm implement is provided. The cutter guard assembly includes a cutter bar assembly, a window frame, and a floor sheet. The cutter bar assembly has a cutter bar and a reciprocating knife assembly operatively connected to a knife drive. The window frame is rigidly attached to the cutter bar. The window frame includes an opening through which a knife arm of the reciprocating knife assembly extends through. The floor sheet extends rearwardly from the cutter bar and pivots relative to the window frame.

Abstract:

A cutterbar lockout tool, a header including such tool and a method for locking and unlocking a cutterbar assembly using such tool are provided. The lockout tool includes an engaging portion for engaging a down-stop linkage assembly of the cutterbar assembly and an elongated body extending from the engaging portion. The tool is used to apply torque to the down-stop linkage assembly at a significant mechanical advantage in order to reposition the cutterbar assembly whereby the cutterbar assembly may be easily locked and unlocked relative to a header chassis.
