Abstract:

A sub-bezel coupled to an electronic device to block electronic emissions and allow for a bezel to be interchangeable. Because the bezel is not needed to block electronic emissions to allow the device to pass through regulatory testing, the bezel can be designed and added after regulatory testing without the electronic device having to be sent back through regulatory testing. Being able to interchange the bezel allows companies to lower projection risks. If a customer projection for a electronic device is too high because the customer does not buy as many electronic devices as expected, the bezel can be changed and the excess electronic devices can be sold to a different customer without having to send all the changed electronic devices back through regulatory testing.

Abstract:

An embodiment of the invention is a technique to manage multipaths for input/output (I/O) devices. An I/O request packet (IRP) from a higher level driver is received. A plurality of paths to a plurality of device objects is managed in response to the IRP using a plurality of lower level drivers. The device objects correspond to physical devices having M device types. The lower level drivers control the physical devices.

Abstract:

An embodiment of the invention is a technique for monitoring via a universal multipath driver (UMD) a first path to one of a plurality of virtual device objects. The virtual device objects are created by the UMD and correspond to a plurality of functional device objects. The functional device objects are created by a plurality of lower level drivers and correspond to a plurality of real physical devices having M device types including an external boot device. The UMD is a functional driver of each of the functional device objects. The lower level drivers control the real physical devices. The UMD detects a failure of the first path to a first virtual device object corresponding to a first real physical device and performs one of failover and failback for the first real physical device.

Abstract:

An embodiment of the invention is a technique to manage failover and failback. A failover of a first path is detected. The first path corresponds to a first device in a plurality of physical devices having M device types. A connection status of the first device is determined if the failover is detected. The connection status is one of a connected status and a disconnected status. The disconnected status corresponds to the failover. The first path is adjusted according to the connection status.

Abstract:

A stabilizing or digger accessory for in-line skates is provided which is adapted to assist roller hockey goaltenders by permitting them to stabilize themselves in a stationary position in goal so that they may react laterally to incoming shots on goal. The digger accessory is easily installed and removed, replacing the frontmost wheel of the skate, so that it may be utilized while the skater is tending goal but removed when he or she wishes to skate normally. Furthermore, even when installed, because of its configuration and orientation with respect to the remaining wheels, the goaltender may skate normally with only a slight change of skating style, so that he or she may easily perform those goaltending duties which require mobility. Essentially, the digger accessory comprises a molded rubber insert wherein the bottom surface consists of a tread. When the heel of the skate is lifted, the tread contacts the skating surface to prevent rolling of the skate.
