The Nebraska State Patrol in conjunction with the Imperial Police Department and Chase County Sheriffs Office, confirmed they located 38-year-old Julie Hanes. Authorities say she was found alive in rural Chase County and was placed in the protective custody.Lincoln Police say it all started around noon Saturday. They say Lawrence walked into Audacious Hair Salon on 27th and O Street in Lincoln and kidnapped his soon to be ex-wife, Julie Hanes at gunpoint.Just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Julie Hanes walked out of a cornfield onto 331 Avenue, approximately two miles northwest of Imperial in rural Chase County. Hanes, who was uninjured, was taken to the Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial for observation and treatment for dehydration.
Authorities from all four departments involved in the manhunt say the cooperation between the units and support from the local community helped make their jobs easier, resulting in the successful return of Julie Hanes to her family.

Search for armed man, kidnapped wife leads to Imperial
Nebraska State Patrol SWAT teams assembled at a farm building just northwest of Imperial early Sunday afternoon as a helicopter flew above in an attempt to locate Julie Hanes of Lincoln. She was allegedly kidnapped Saturday by her estranged husband, Dewayne Lawrence.
Julie Hanes, 38, could be seen walking and talking to people at the search staging area where she was taken before being transported to a hospital, The Imperial Republican reported ( http://bit.ly/17dI6h7 ).
The day drew to a close with no sign of Julie Hanes or her estranged husband, Dwayne Lawrence, who took her from the salon she owns at 27th and O streets at about noon, according to at least two witnesses inside the business at the time.
