Abstract:
A teleradiology system provides the capability of rendering and studying of a remotely located volume data without requiring transmission of the entire data to the user's local computer. The system comprises: receiving station () under the control of a user (); transmitting station (); the connecting network (); the user interface () with functionality of controlling volume data rendering, transmission, and display; and the interface with patient data source (). The teleradiology system of the invention provides an integrated functionality of data transmission of current teleradiology systems and volume data rendering/visualization of current volume data rendering/visualization systems. The system may be readily used with an intranet, the internet (including the internet) or via a direct dial-up using a telephone line with a modem, and can serve as an enterprise-wide PACS and may be readily integrated with other PACS and image distribution systems. Software of this system can be centrally installed and managed and can be provided to the user's local computer on an as-needed basis. Furthermore, the software for the user's computer is developed to use with standard web browser.

Abstract:
An absorbent article comprises a signal composite comprising a carrier substrate layer, a first stimulation layer, a second stimulation layer, a first thermoplastic adhesive layer and a second thermoplastic adhesive layer. The carrier substrate layer is disposed as a bottom layer of the signal composite. The first stimulation layer comprises a first stimulation material and is disposed above and adjacent to the carrier substrate layer. The second stimulation layer comprises a second stimulation material and is disposed above and adjacent to the first stimulation layer to provide the body-facing surface of the signal composite. The first thermoplastic adhesive layer is liquid permeable or water-soluble and is disposed between and adjacent to the carrier substrate layer and the first stimulation layer. The second thermoplastic adhesive layer is liquid permeable or water-soluble and is disposed between the first stimulation layer and the second stimulation layer.

An airlaid substrate may have a positive increase in thickness through the addition of thermally expandable microspheres into the substrate. In one application, the substrate may be converted to sheets used as wet or dry wipes.
Cooling Signal Device For Use In An Absorbent Article
A signal device includes a signal composite made with a coextruded film having at least two layers, a polymer skin layer and a stimulation layer. The stimulation layer includes a cooling agent and a polymer binder. The stimulation layer may be about 50 to 98 percent by weight of the signal composite. The signal device may be used in an absorbent article to provide a cooling sensation after a body-fluid insult has taken place.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a personal care absorbent article such as a feminine hygiene absorbent personal care article for receiving a body exudate such as menses. The article includes a topsheet layer, a backsheet layer, at least one absorbent core layer positioned between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer, optionally a pair of wings, and a decolorization means associated with the article for altering the visual appearance and/or physical characteristics of the a body exudate. The use of the decolorization means provides several benefits to the end user including the creation of a visually smaller stain on the top surface of the topsheet layer and a possible reduction in staining of the wearer's apparel should the body exudate leak from or off of the article being worn.

Abstract:
The present disclosure features a feminine hygiene product, including a nonwoven layer including polymeric fibers and/or filaments; a crosslinked cellulose layer including crosslinked cellulose fibers; wherein the crosslinked cellulose layer is positioned opposed to the nonwoven layer (e.g., without an intervening layer different from the crosslinked cellulose layer and the nonwoven layer; in some embodiments, the crosslinked cellulose layer is immediately adjacent to the nonwoven layer); and an interfacial region between the nonwoven layer and the crosslinked cellulose layer, the interfacial region including physically entangled polymeric fibers and/or filaments from the nonwoven layer and crosslinked cellulose fibers from the crosslinked cellulose layer. The nonwoven layer and the crosslinked cellulose layer of the composite fabric are mechanically inseparable in a dry state.
