Systems and methods for sharing information across at least two organizations is described. A physical node may receive a request for authorization for a user in an organization to access an individual's information in another organization. The request may be logged. The physical node may determine whether the user is authorized to access the individual's information and, if it is, provide appropriate access.

Abstract:

A system and method of sharing information among at least a first organization and a second organization, comprising receiving via a communication link a request for authorization for a user in the first organization to access one or more individual's information in a second organization, the communication link comprising the Internet, Wireless Communications, Mobile Devices, a Telephone Network, and Electronic Messaging. A request is logged and authorization is determined based on at least an access profile, one or more caseloads and the one or more roles associated with the user and the type of the one or more individual's information in the second organization. The information requested is transferred, by the communication link, from the second organization to the user in the first organization and such transfer of information is logged.

Authorization is requested for the user, the access profile is retrieved, and authorization to private information is granted if authorized by the access agreement. In a method of authorizing access by users to private information stored by an organization as associated with a program, three types of caseloads are defined. The first authorizes access to information of a first individual of a first program, the second authorizes access to information of a second individual of a second program, and the third authorizes access to information of all individuals of all programs. Authorization is requested for the user to access one or more of the caseloads, and access to one or more caseloads is granted to the user.

Abstract:

A system and method for recording video healthcare information of an individual under care based on properties of the information without deleting data, includes a device for capturing data relating to an individual, and configured to transmit a signal identifying the device, a memory for storing rules relating to the device, a buffer, a database; and a processor. The processor receives the device identification signal and said data, and retrieves the rules from the memory. Based on the rules, the processor determines, whether the data is to be stored in the database; or stored in the buffer. Based on the content of the data, the processor determines the location of the device, the time that the data was recorded, whether the individual recorded is identified as the individual under care, and the activity performed by the individual. Based on the rules, the location of the device, the recording time, the identification of the individual under care; and the activity, whether the data is to be stored in the database; or eliminated from the buffer.
