Skills:
While my certification is in Abdominal, OB/Gyn and small parts sonography, I also have a great deal of experience in pediatric applications (appendix, pylorus, infant hips, neonatal neurosonography), as well as VENOUS studies of the upper and lower extremities to rule out DVT. More specifically, I have also done work with evaluating the portal venous system before and after TIPS procedures. I have minimal experience with spigelian hernia exams as well (performed in conjunction with a radiologist). While having done targeted studies on breast tissue, I have never done "screening" of breasts using ultrasound, nor would I find it justifiable. I would be willing to learn arterial studies if properly taught with a combination of schooling and clinical practice.
