Former Auburn softball players have been involved in some prestigious events recently. Kasey Cooper, Auburns most recognized and possibly greatest player in program history, played in international competition in Tokyo where the USA National Softball team dropped the championship game to Japan. USA
The Tigers (28-5, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) also threatened in the fourth when Kasey Cooper drew a leadoff walk and Haley Fagan singled. After a sacrifice bunt moved both into scoring position, Gourley struck out Veach and Madi Gipson.

Rewinding Auburn's wild comeback win over Georgia at WCWS
T7 Georgia pulls Chelsea Wilkinson on the mound and replaces her with Brittany Gray. Carlee Wallace pops up for the first out as Kasey Cooper flirts with the idea of stealing home plate, but returns to third. T4 Madi Gipson grounds out and Whitney Jordan flies out before Georgia commits a pair of fielding errors allowing Victoria Draper and Tiffany Howard to get on base. Unfortunately for the Tigers, Kasey Cooper comes up empty with a ground out. Auburn is just 1-for-11 with runners on base. T3 Kasey Cooper grounds out, but Emily Carosone comes up with a double down the right field line for Auburn. Carlee Wallace fouls out. Rewinding Auburn's win over UCLA at Women's College World Series
UCLA makes another pitching change. Johanna Grauer relives McDuffee on the mound. Auburn's Tiffany Howard and Kasey Cooper both ground out before Emily Carosone and Carlee Wallace are walked. Jade Rhodes singles to load the bases, but the inning ends on a Haley Fagan strikeout.
This was over early. Auburn scored five runs on just one hit in the bottom of the first inning. Four Tigers were hit by pitches, and three of them scored. The lone hit was a double by Kasey Cooper, who later scored.

Auburn starts fast, wins College World Series opener
Mysha Sataraka hit a three-run homer to cut Auburn's lead to 7-3 in the fourth. But Fagan's RBI double in the bottom of the inning made it 8-3. Kasey Cooper made it 10-3 with a two-run double in the sixth.
