Power outage briefly halts flights to Miami, nearby airports: FAA

The crash of the Bell 206 tourist helicopter was reported about 3:30 p.m. near Sevierville, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said. She said in an email that officials said the helicopter was destroyed by fire.
"Southwest Airlines 31, a Boeing 737 aircraft, rolled off a taxiway into the grass and got stuck while taxiing to its gate at Nashville International Airport at 5:30 p.m. Central Time. Passengers left the aircraft via stairs and were bussed to the terminal," said FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen.

Air traffic control center glitch causes massive delays
Problems with an automation system at a Leesburg, Va., air-traffic center that handles high-altitude traffic forced delays and cancellations of flights in and out of the DC area, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said.
