Abstract:
A method for treating a cellulose-containing substrate is provided in the present invention, the method comprising contacting a silicone composition comprising at least one polysiloxane or silicone resin containing at least one functional group comprising at least one dialkylacetal group, at least one anhydride group, at least one reactive group, or combinations thereof with the cellulose-containing substrate; and curing the silicone composition on the cellulose-containing substrate at a temperature in a range between about 25Â C. and about 200Â C. A further embodiment of the present invention includes a formulation containing the aforementioned silicone composition.
Silicone Based Flame Retardant Systems For Textiles
A silicone composition is provided which comprises at least one polysiloxane or siloxane oligomer functionalized with at least one amino group and at least three functional groups capable of cross-linking wherein the polysiloxane or siloxane oligomer imparts flame retardancy on a cellulose-containing substrate. Further embodiments of the present invention include a method for making and a cellulose-substrate comprising the aforementioned silicone composition.

A powder coating composition grindable at non-cryogenic temperatures includes: (a) a first polymer having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of more than 1,000 and a Tg of at least 40 C.; (b) a second polymer having a Tm of at least 100 C.; and optionally (c) a cross-linker. The first polymer and the second polymer are different from one another, and each of the first and second polymers have less than 25 wt % fluorine-containing monomeric units, with wt % based on the total weight of the monomeric units in each polymer. Upon grinding at a temperature above 4 C. the coating composition has an average particle size from 15 to 150 microns. Further coating compositions, methods of preparing coating compositions, coating systems, and substrates coated with a powder coating composition are also disclosed.
