Abstract:
The coupler with expanding fittings can be configured with an inner sleeve having an annular wall with an outwardly extending lip about an end of the sleeve. The wall of the inner sleeve can have a passage defined therein extending from adjacent the valve body and having a discharge opening adjacent the lip, or can have external threading on the outwardly extending lip. The coupler has an outer sleeve with an attached pipe flange at a first end and an inwardly extending lip at an opposing second end. The inner sleeve lip is slidably or threadingly disposed within the outer sleeve, the outer sleeve lip encircling the inner sleeve. The outer sleeve travels along the outward surface of the lip of the inner sleeve, the range of travel of the order sleeve being limited by the inwardly extending lip on the outer sleeve.
A water valve with expanding fittings includes a valve body having an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe extending outward from the valve body. The inlet pipe is formed from an annular wall having an outwardly extending lip about an end of the pipe. The wall of the inlet pipe has a passage defined therein extending from adjacent the valve body and has a discharge opening adjacent the lip. The water valve includes a sleeve with an attached pipe flange at a first end and an inwardly extending lip at an opposing second end. The inlet pipe lip is slidably disposed within the sleeve, and the sleeve lip encircles the inlet pipe between the inlet pipe lip and the valve body to prevent separation of the sleeve from the inlet pipe. The sleeve travels with a limited range along the outward surface of the lip of the inlet pipe.

Abstract:
A surgical device. The surgical device may comprise a transducer, an end effector, a generator and a control circuit. The transducer may be configured to provide vibrations. The end effector may be coupled to the transducer and may extend from the transducer along the longitudinal axis. The generator may provide an electrical signal to the transducer. Also, the control circuit may modify a current amplitude of the electrical signal in response to a change in a vibration frequency of the end effector. Accordingly to various embodiments, the control circuit may detect a first contribution to a vibration frequency of the end effector, the first contribution originating from tissue in contact with the end effector. Also, according to various embodiments, the control circuit may indicate a change in a vibration frequency of the end effector.

Abstract:
A computer implemented method and system for executing block trades for a security includes steps or devices for receiving a block trade request, at a computer system. The block request includes data representing a quantity of shares of the security to be traded over a period of time. The computer system divides the period of time into a plurality of time bins. A computer system, for the received block trade request, computes, for each time bin, a number of shares to be traded as a trading target based on at least historical trading volumes using predictive analysis. For a first time bin, a computer system generates executable trade orders for a number of shares to be traded that is substantially equal to the trading target for the first time bin. A computer system executes at least a portion of the executable trade orders in a trade forum within each time bin in the future.
