Abstract:

A communication cable comprising a trigger and a wireless transmitter coupled to the trigger and adapted to transmit a wireless transmitter coupled to the trigger and adapted to transmit a wireless signal to activate a user identifiable locator adjacent a cable connector disposed on a device. A processor-based system a cable connector, a user identifiable locator disposed adjacent the cable connector, and a controller coupled to the user identifiable locator and triggerable wirelessly to facilitate guided connection between the cable connector and a communication cable.

Abstract:

The present invention is a fan tray assembly in a computer chassis which allows fan assemblies to be removed and installed without shutting down the computer device. The fan tray assembly includes two or more fan assemblies for cooling the interior of the chassis. The fan tray assembly has a first position in which the fan tray assembly is received in the chassis and an extended position in which the fan tray assembly extends from an opening in the chassis. The fan tray assembly has an endplate, a left side, a right side, and at least one of the sides includes one or more slots for receiving a fan assembly. A hot tap board mounted to the fan tray assembly is connected to a power cable. The fan assemblies are hot tap connected to the hot tap board. The present invention allows the fan assembly to be removed without shutting down the device by extending the fan tray assembly from the computer chassis and removing the fan assembly from the fan tray assembly. A replacement fan assembly is inserted in the slot in the fan tray assembly and the fan tray assembly is slid back into the computer chassis.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus for supporting cables. In some embodiments, the cable support system comprises a first member and a movable pin. The first member may be secured to a cable support arm. The first member also may be adapted to be disposed against a second member. The second member may be secured to a movable device or a fixed member. The first member may be adapted to prevent transverse displacement of the first and second members when the first member is displaced laterally to a first position relative to the second member. The movable pin may be adapted to block lateral displacement of the first and second members, when the first member is displaced in the first position relative to the second member.
